We want to extend a special thanks to the manager Luigi, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. And to Toto who drove the shuttle boat and guided our snorkling tour to St. Pierre.

This is truly a special place to stay. maximum 10 guests on a small island. We had our own cottage, what a fantastic hideaway. I see people here complaining about the quality of the rooms. I understand that, but the location itself lets you forget easily about a tiny bathroom or whatsoever. Great dinner, and the atmosphere, just breathtaking. Big, big compliment to Mattia and Luigi, who run the show there, and of course boatman Sonny.

“Perfect island paradise - wish we'd stayed longer!”

We stayed here 16-19 September 2023 as part of our 3 weeks island-hopping around the Seychelles for our honeymoon. Our stay here in the ‘suite with sea view’ was the absolute highlight for us for the whole honeymoon – we felt like we were living our own 5* Robinson Crusoe fantasy! The island is tiny; super private; and beautifully looked after – there’s greenery everywhere and the buildings felt rustic but loved. We picked the suite with sea view as we wanted maximum privacy whilst still having nice amenities to hand. The suite had so much character and was huge: the hot tub and upstairs area were an added surprise, and the free eco bathroom products were lovely! The terrace is a decent size and offered us sunrise views in the morning (the main jetty had sunset views in the evening). The steps down to the rocks below were a great place to watch crabs; we tried snorkelling off there, but it was way too choppy with sea urchins close to the surface, so we didn’t feel safe. Snorkelling was a lot calmer on the other side of the island with access from the island ‘beach’/jetty though we didn’t see too much as the waves churned up a lot of sand so visibility was poor, although that may change on the season. Regardless, the beach area was sandy, warm and shallow: at low tide you can easily walk from the island to Anse Volbert. The hotel will take you over to the main area for free on the island boat, which was particularly useful as there is a well-stocked convenience store there to buy snacks, drinks etc (the room had a reasonably sized fridge to store drinks in, which was useful considering you don’t get free bottles of water at this hotel). What we particularly enjoyed about our stay here was the food! We found most of the food in the Seychelles to be boring, bland and expensive (disclaimer: neither me nor my husband eat fish/ seafood). However, on this island the menu was great: good variety, value for money and the meals were huge with loads of flavour! Breakfast was included in our stay and didn’t disappoint with homemade pancakes; cooked breakfast; fresh juice – all with a wonderful view out to sea with green lizards for company. The limited staff were always smiling and welcoming; we really did enjoy our stay here and our only regret is that we didn’t stay here longer! We had stayed at another hotel on Praslin before coming here; we used this other hotel as a base to explore the island so that when we were at this hotel we could just stop and relax. We would recommend people to do the same as you really won’t want to leave this island once you get here! Do go to Curieuse Island to see the giant tortoises: they were simply amazing and nothing had prepared us for the amount of them; their size; and their behaviour! We also found the best snorkelling to be off a boat at Anse Lazio – the beach itself was quite crowded and felt touristy (although there were lovely dusk and sunset views) but the snorkelling was amazing: we saw a huge manta ray and plenty of fish. Praslin is best known for Vallee de Mai, which was interesting and offered a different view of the Seychelles.

This private island resort was the perfect getaway for our New Year's. The place is an example of architecture and nature blending seamlessly. Manu, Antonio and Roland greeted us and took great care to ensure our bags remained dry during the quick boat transfer to the resort. Our bungalow was spacious with a separate living room from the bedroom and a huge bathroom with a separate tub from the shower. The food served was fresh and delicious for breakfast and for dinner. The whole resort has limited space so book early!
