Capella never disappoints. I have visited Capella at least 5 times and every time the level of service, attention to detail is on point. The best hotel in Singapore. Thank you for always looking after us, especially Adoncia for her help.

Check in was done seamlessly while seated at the couch with the attentive staff reaching out to me instead of having me standing at the counter. Although the price of the villa room is relatively high, the amenities such as the in-room private pool, separate living and bedroom space compensated for everything. My 2nd time staying in Capella and I must say that the service standard had not only remained impeccable, it has improved. Thanks to Ms Beatrice at the Fiamma where our breakfast was served. It was obvious that Ms Beatrice served with pride and my impression was that she has an excellent leader management team behind her, supporting her which resulted in her serving guests with a genuine smile and remarkable service standard. Needless to say, I hope to return again to witness yet another round of great service in such a competitive hospitality industry.

This is truly an amazing experience. Couldn’t fault anything at the hotel. All the staff were very welcoming. They were polite and happy at all times. Nothing was too much trouble. One staff member brought two umbrellas to us at the beach when we were stranded in a huge storm. - this was beyond any expectation. Staff were exceptional. We dined at all four restaurants and had wonderful food and service at all of them. We were upgraded to a villa for our anniversary and were very appreciative of the fabulous accommodation. I can’t praise highly enough this hotel and its offerings. We will definitely return and highly recommend to any traveller.

Having stayed at Capella Singapore previously, we arrived with incredibly high expectations because our first experience had been nothing short of exceptional. This time, we spent 10 nights at the hotel, giving us ample opportunity to experience every aspect of the property. What made the disappointment even more apparent was that we had just spent 14 days at the Mandarin Oriental in KL, 10 unforgettable days at The Datai Langkawi, followed by another 10 days at Six Senses Con Dao. Both hotels delivered world-class hospitality every single day, with exceptional service, outstanding food and an unwavering attention to detail. They reminded us exactly what true luxury hospitality should feel like. Unfortunately, our return to Capella felt very different. While the hotel itself remains beautiful, the overall experience was surprisingly average and lacked the consistency you’d expect from a property of this calibre. The biggest disappointment was the inconsistency in both the food and the service. The breakfast team were exceptional, delivering warm, genuine hospitality every morning and consistently exceeding our expectations. In contrast, dinner was disappointing. The service was below average, lacking the attentiveness and polish expected of a luxury hotel, while the food was mediocre and inconsistent from one evening to the next. There were also several examples that simply didn’t align with the standards of a five-star hotel. On multiple occasions, dishes appeared to have been kept warm rather than freshly prepared to order, resulting in food that lacked freshness and quality. Menu items were also unavailable at times, which was surprising given the calibre of the hotel. These may seem like small details individually, but over the course of a 10-night stay they became increasingly noticeable and detracted from the overall experience. When you’re paying around S$2,000 per night, you expect exceptional quality, consistency and attention to detail at every meal; not a dining experience that feels unpredictable. What was perhaps most disappointing was the hotel’s response. Despite raising our concerns during our stay, the only acknowledgement we received was an apology. There was no meaningful gesture to recognise the shortcomings or attempt to make amends, which felt inconsistent with the level of guest care you would expect from a hotel of this reputation and price point. Luxury isn’t just about beautiful surroundings; it’s about consistently delivering excellence in every aspect of the guest experience. Having experienced Capella at its very best in the past, and having just come from two extraordinary luxury resorts that consistently exceeded every expectation, it was disappointing to see such a noticeable decline. What was once an unforgettable destination now felt surprisingly ordinary.
