Four Points by Sheraton, a Singaporean hotel with a strange name, further confused by references to both the Sheraton and the Marriott Bonvoy. We have been to Singapore numerous times over the years and have visited most of the iconic tourist spots, so this year we decided to try a new area of Singapore, Robertson, which is renowned for its upmarket riverside dining experiences. Robertson House, a luxury, colonial-style hotel renowned for immersing its guests in the 19th Century history of the Singapore River trading port, also resides in Robertson Quay. It has a themed, intimate and sophisticated atmosphere which was inspired by Dr. J. Murray Robertson and is well worth a visit. The Four Points by Sheraton Hotel is your typical modern, multi-floor Singaporean hotel, with multiple restaurants, bar area, fitness centre, fifth floor swimming pool and a plethora of rooms. The rooms, including the bathrooms, are very modern, clean and spacious. All the rooms on the Quay side of the building have grand views of the canal, local eating establishments, and the stylish and aptly named Robertson Bridge over the River. We also had a large lounge seat in the alcove window so we could watch life on the river go by whilst drinking our evening Singapore Slings. The rooms have large, comfortable king-sized beds, none of your tied together singles for Four Points, with his and her bedside tables. There was adequate wardrobe storage space, a small fridge, easy to use safe, kettle, cups and a range of beverages, long desk and chair. As to be expected, the WiFi was very responsive, although the USB charging point in the desk had a very slow charge rate. The bathroom could not be faulted, with a very large shower and plenty of shelf surface area around the sink for your toiletries. Breakfast is normally included in the tariff and as expected there was an extensive range of hot (sorry lukewarm) and cold items, including continental, Chinese and English breakfast food choices. On Singaporean standards I would rate the breakfast as only average, but on World standards it was above average. The truly fresh orange juice was a welcomed surprise. There are plenty of choices for lunch and evening dining, either in the hotel or across the river in the competitive restaurant strip. The prices for both food and alcoholic drinks are understandable cheaper outside the hotel. If this is your first time to Singapore don’t forget that they add a 10% service charge and a 9% GST/VAT tax to the listed price, so the final bill will be almost 20% higher than possibly expected. In the hotel if you sign up for the Marriott/Sheraton app (free) you will qualify for a 10% discount on your meal and drink costs. So in summary, if you are not concerned about being a bit distant from the main Singapore tourist spots, Robertson Quay is a pleasant alternative, and the Four Points hotel is a very comfortable resting spot, so RECOMMENDED.

“Nice long stay”

Very nice long stay. Only thing about the breakfast they could be a little more flexible for workers as I had to take the bus to work at 6h10. So if they allowed us to start breakfast 5h40 just 20min earlier would be great. But anyway they provided a take away breakfast provided it was requested … more

Very nice long stay. Only thing about the breakfast they could be a little more flexible for workers as I had to take the bus to work at 6h10. So if they allowed us to start breakfast 5h40 just 20min earlier would be great. But anyway they provided a take away breakfast provided it was requested the night before. The staff is amazing. Special thank you for the cleaning lady Rajeswari, very thoughtful, gentle and her work is excellent.

“Singapore - Xièxiè nǐ !!”

Great location. Can walk or catch a grab to anywhere! Good breakfast buffet - many selections. Very diverse choices. Pricing is reasonable. Gym, Pool and laundry. Steam room. We didn’t use any of those however all looked functioning and nice. Rooms maintained and cleaned nicely. Thank you Maria… more

Snacks and coffee maker in room with pods. Room service - had the satay. Yummy! Singapore - it was so nice to visit you again. Your people and culture are so kind and welcoming!
