Review for room 930 - One Queen and one single bed for 2 adults and 1 child Likes: - Filtered water tap is a great addition! - Room is clean and modern with nice views overlooking the pool and some of the city - Bathroom contained free standing shower and some amenities such as shower caps, dental kit, body wash, hair dryer, sanity bags, shampoo and conditioner. - Room amenities included television, small refrigerator, AC (temperature can be adjusted) and a table & chair to dine on. Coffee, tea and kettle also available in-room - Beds are comfortable, as well as pillows and blanket - Swimming pool is large and the water is heated, which made for a fantastic and comfortable swim. There is a shallow section where children can swim safely - a little deep for toddlers - Gym is equipped with cardio equipment and a dumbbell rack of dumbbells up to 20kg - Buffet breakfast was good and served a spread of hot food, cereals, drinks, fruits, pastries and salads. Coffee machine is available that serves black coffee and milked coffees (cappuccino, flat white, etc). - Staff was helpful, friendly and polite - Rooms are secure in that the key cards are programmed to only go to the level that your room is located on. - Location is excellent and Central: 5 mins to Maxwell Food Centre, Maxwell MRT and Chinatown, 7 minutes to Lau Pa Sat and Telok Ayer MRT. 15-20 minutes by foot to Merlion and Marina Bay. Gardens by the Bay, Orchard Road and Sentosa are only a few MRT stations away! - 24 hour reception. There is also a lobby where guests can safely and conveniently take a taxi or Grab from - Value is excellent for a hotel of its quality and location - Atmosphere is vibrant in the lobby and peaceful in the rooms. Not noisy Considerations: - Rooms are small, so don't expect much room for children to freely run around - Buffet does not include pork products Overall, we enjoyed a fantastic stay and would do so again in the future

The location was very convenient when commuting to Singapore Indoor Stadium and having your favourite hotpot after a concert night. The staff at the lobby (car) entrance was very helpful. A little help from this middle aged man (sorry I can’t remember his name) which made our life after an early flight easier was very impressive and escalated the experience at the hotel where its lobby was packed and crowded that day. The room was, as expected for Singapore, small but not that cramped. There was filtered water tap at the sink.

I recently stayed at Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre and overall had a good experience. The biggest strength of this hotel is definitely the location. It is very strategic and conveniently connected to Chinatown MRT underground, which makes getting around Singapore very easy. For both business and leisure, this is a major advantage. As an Accor member, I received a room upgrade to a room with 1 queen bed and 1 single bed. While I appreciated the upgrade, I was staying as a solo business traveler, so in my case the extra bed felt a little wasted. It would be even better if the hotel had more upgrade options that better match different guest profiles. Compared with Mercure Bugis, one downside is that this property does not have a privilege lounge, which may matter for guests who value that extra layer of comfort and exclusivity. The gym is another mixed point. On the positive side, the equipment is very good — they use the latest Technogym machines, which is excellent. However, the gym room itself is quite small, so it can feel crowded and sometimes you need to wait for space or equipment. For work purposes, the desk setup was acceptable. It was just enough for me to place my MacBook, iPad as an extended screen, and even my 16-inch gaming laptop, so it worked reasonably well for a business stay. The room also comes with a balcony, which is a nice feature in theory. However, with Singapore’s hot weather, I am not sure how practical it really is, especially for many Asian travelers who may not spend much time there. Another plus point is the swimming pool and garden area, which are both pleasant and add to the overall atmosphere of the hotel. Overall, I had a good stay at Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre. The excellent location, decent workspace, updated gym equipment, and pleasant pool area make it a strong option. A larger gym and more tailored upgrade options would make the experience even betterz
