My wife and I return to Singapore for a few months each summer, and for the past several years, Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Orchard has been our preferred home away from home. In fact, we enjoy staying here so much that we usually book our next stay almost a year in advance. The location is truly unbeatable. The property is directly connected to 313@Somerset and just steps from Somerset MRT station, bus routes, restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, and some of the best shopping along Orchard Road. Whether we need to pick up groceries, meet friends for dinner, or travel across Singapore, everything is incredibly convenient. We stayed in a One-Bedroom Executive Suite, which is especially well suited for an extended stay. The washer and dryer inside the suite are something we absolutely love—love, love, love! When you are staying for several weeks or months, having your own laundry facilities makes such a difference. The suite also includes a full kitchen with cookware, dishes, and the usual amenities. We honestly did not cook very often because Singapore has so many wonderful dining options nearby, but the kitchen was very useful for storing drinks, keeping leftovers, and warming up food. Because I continue working remotely while traveling, having a proper work desk and a reliable wired high-speed internet connection is extremely important to me. Many hotels advertise fast Wi-Fi, but a wired connection provides greater speed and stability for video conferences, large files, and long working sessions. This is one of the reasons the Executive Suite works so well for us. For long-stay guests, the property also offers a fitness center, swimming pool, and residents’ lounge. Breakfast is served six days a week, and while we occasionally enjoyed some very elegant hotel lounges during our shorter trips, we always looked forward to returning to Auntie’s comforting cooking. Fancy food may impress us, but there is something special about familiar food prepared with heart. What truly keeps us returning, however, is the team. We were greeted with beautiful smiles whenever we passed the front desk, and the staff always made us feel recognized, welcomed, and cared for. They patiently accommodated our requests, remembered our preferences, and helped make daily life comfortable during our extended stay. We took several mini trips and stayed at some very beautiful hotels during the summer, but we always looked forward to returning “home” to Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Orchard. A beautiful building may impress a guest, but it is the people inside who create a true sense of belonging. Mahalo to Mr David Picard and the entire team for taking such good care of us once again. You have made this more than simply a place for us to stay. It has become our Singapore home. We have already booked our return for next summer. A Hui Hou—this is not goodbye, but until we meet again.
