First impressions – just checked in! 🇸🇬 We’ve just checked in, so my review rating may well change once we’ve had a proper feel for the hotel. But first impressions matter, and Jack at reception has been EXCELLENT. 👏🏾 He was attentive, approachable and genuinely helpful, giving us some great tips for Singapore. I booked a Deluxe King Room with City View, and Jack made sure we got a good room — and I have to say, the view is looking pretty good! 👌🏾 📸 Photo of the view below. So far, so good… but I’ll reserve final judgement until we’ve experienced the hotel properly. Watch this space for the update! 👀 The hotel itself will get its full review once I’ve had a chance to really get a feel for it.

“Great Hotel”

We stayed for 5 nights. We arrived around 11.30am check in is 3pm. We were greeted down stairs by some lovely staff who took our cases and explained we go upstairs to reception and do all the paperwork for the check in and then at 3 we only have to pick up our room key. We stayed for 5 nights. We arrived around 11.30am check in is 3pm. We were greeted down stairs by some lovely staff who took our cases and explained we go upstairs to reception and do all the paperwork for the check in and then at 3 we only have to pick up our room key. We went up and we checked in the staff member was also very nice and helpful. We got our room at 3pm which was lovely it was big with great views of the Singapore flyer and the city. Room was very clean and had coffee making facilities,hairdryer,safe it didn’t have an iron but I called reception and they sent an iron and ironing board up which was great. Bathroom had a bath and shower. Pools were good. Location is perfect. Only thing I agree with a review regarding the pillows being too big I only used 1 and flattened it but I did get a stiff neck. I should have let reception know as I’m sure they would have changed it for me. I hate to say but breakfast was a bit chaotic no fault of the staff they were lovely just busy busy then waiting for cups then the coffee machines going off. They have shower facilities for you to use once you’ve checked out which were great as our flight was a late one. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

The Wyndham Singapore hotel is a sensible choice for a brief stay in Singapore. It offers a semi-upscale atmosphere in a location convenient for exploration of the main attractions of the city. The hotel itself is somewhat grand, spanning two 20-odd storey towers. The lobby is, somewhat uniquely, situated on the fifth floor, which provides for a slightly confusing check in experience upon arrival, however a hotel agent is generally positioned on the ground floor of each tower to guide guests to the lifts. Its location is perfect for sightseeing. It takes 20-30 minutes to walk to Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay, and is nestled next to a large shopping precinct, conveniently offering food courts, a range of specialty stores and even a small supermarket. More luxurious shopping precincts are a short walk away, and many restaurant offerings are a stones throw away. A king city-view room is generously sized, perhaps even on the larger side. The bathroom is equipped with both shower and bathtub, which provides for the perfect way to unwind after a day of sightseeing on foot, and the bathroom amenities provided go above and beyond, with even toothbrushes, toothpaste and disposable razor blades provided. There is a very limited supply of tea and coffee, and it is worth noting that the “milk” provided is limited to powdered form - a “creamer”. The bed perhaps caters to the central customer-base to the area, and offers an incredibly firm bed. If you appreciate bedding on the plush side, housekeeping can be requested to set a mattress comforter for additional comfort, although I managed adequate sleep without, despite the firmness of the bed. The hotel pool is perfectly adequate, and the gym is very well equipped, offering a good spread of strength and cardio equipment. There are also some handy convenience stores immediately downstairs for those grab-and-go goodies like soft drinks and chocolate bars. Breakfast is served nearby reception, and offers perhaps one of the most impressive breakfast spreads I’ve experienced in a hotel, catering to those seeking traditional cold and hot offerings, with options traditional to the region also prominently featured. It tends to get quite busy, so I would recommend getting in as it opens to avoid the crowd, but the staff seem to navigate it well enough. I did find the scrambled eggs much too runny for my liking, but the added extra of freshly made omelettes more than makes up for that! My special requests were catered to, in that I was allocated a room on a high floor, and situated away from the main lifts, however I was positioned right beside the service lift, from which I could hear knocking sounds throughout the night on some nights. I was also given an interconnecting room, although there was no guest staying in the adjacent room, or if there was, I didn’t hear them. I did, however, constantly hear the same group of guests conversing incredibly loudly in the hallway and walking in and out of each other’s room on a regular basis - perhaps they could have been afforded the opportunity of an interconnecting room. Ultimately, this was fault of the guest’s lack of courtesy toward other guests than it is fault of the hotel. The dining offerings of the hotel are somewhat standard. I did choose to dine in at the lobby area on a couple of occasions, and these were relatively standard meals. I also ordered room service on one occasion, which was perhaps one of the nicer meals I had on-site. However, I have never before received room service in a hotel with my meal cling-wrapped, which overall detracted from the whole room service appeal. The hotel does require a SGD $300 pre authorisation as security upon arrival, common to a lot of properties. I did have an issue on check out with being charged pre authorisation again, however this was rectified on the spot, with my original authorisation being returned within 10 business days of check out. Ultimately, the Wyndham Singapore Hotel offers relative comfort in an ideal location for exploration.

“Good hotel but not sound proof”

We were here in Dec 2024 and we loved it. I gave it a 5-star review. We came back this time after renovations and renamed, the. reception staff was still very good & helpful, but the room is much smaller and not sound proof. Probably because this time we were in the new building. We could hear everything going on. When someone dropped a heavier item on the floor above us, it was loud. When someone closed the door nearby, it was liked locking/unlocking our door. Also the air conditioner was a bit noiser than what it should be.
