We booked a suite for one night (Friday) at the end of August. We arrived at 11:00 AM to see if an early check-in was available and to get a day pass for the pools. The front desk person was very welcoming and friendly. She said our room would be ready sometime after 1:00 and that we could use the pools/spa in the meantime. We went back to check in shortly after 1:00 and were informed that the hotel was fully booked, so we had been upgraded to...THE PRESIDENTIAL SUITE. (!!) The Suite: The Presidential Suite is located on the top floor and includes very spacious indoor and outdoor living areas. It's laid out in several rooms -- living room, 2 bathrooms, bedroom, sauna and atrium. There are wall-to wall windows and beautiful woodwork throughout. It is very quiet and we felt a great sense of privacy and peacefulness there. The well-furnished, comfortable living room is off the suite's foyer, along with a combo toilet/ "glam room". The bedroom and master bath are down a separate hallway. The bedroom has a king-size bed and is beautifully furnished and decorated, with a wall of windows and access to a huge balcony that is shared with the living room. The large bathroom has dual sinks, a separate wooden sauna room with dual level seating, separate toilet room, and a glass door shower with digital temperature and spray controls. The shower has panoramic view to the outdoors. Towels were plentiful and we appreciated the spa robes and heated towel racks. The patio's large whirlpool atrium is connected to the shower area. The A/C was a cool relief during a hot and humid day, but not as strong as Americans are used to, so best to visit when temps are not in the extreme range. The amazing rooftop patio is humongous and has panoramic views of the thermal park, castle and surrounding woods/greenery. You can access the patio from both the whirlpool atrium and a separate hallway door. There is a comfy seating area with loungers and a coffee table and chairs, green spaces including a putting green and large potted plants, and an atrium with a whirlpool/deck. The private outdoor space is as large -- or larger -- than the indoor space. Overall, the suite is a really lovely, peaceful oasis and I would highly recommend it for a romantic getaway or special occasion visit such as a honeymoon or anniversary celebration. Or just some pampering R&R. A great experience in a special place and we really loved spending time there! It was hard to tear ourselves away to go enjoy the pools, too! The Hotel: The lobby is really beautiful with multiple seating/lounging areas and an elegant bar. Sit-down reception service for a more personal-feeling welcome. Indirect lighting and warm wood help to create a warm, cozy feeling. There's also a really pretty water feature. We enjoyed drinks here, both in the morning and evening. Service was excellent, both friendly and efficient. Great atmosphere. Spa was peaceful and clean. We really loved the hotel's pool area (not to be confused with the water park across the street). It was clean and attractive, water was warm. We enjoyed the attached indoor/outdoor swim spaces. Outside the views and setting in the countryside/greenery were quiet and very pretty. Lots of lounging space on patios and grassy areas. It was a really nice experience. (One thing to note -- the life guard did not clear the pool during an electrical storm, so please be aware you will need to take responsibility for your own health and well-being in such circumstances.) Our pool pass also included the water park across the street (Terme Ptuj). We enjoyed the heated indoor/outdoor/spa pool area. It was older, but in good shape and clean. The water in every pool was a really great temperature. Swam laps in the larger pool, lounged in the outdoor sauna/pool area. Tried out various small pools. All good. We liked the retro vibe. We had lunch in the little cafe at Terme Ptuj. It was a small buffet with basic food items. We happily consumed stuffed cabbage and salads here. Didn't get a chance to try the much larger outdoor recreational pool area with slides and (wave?) pool, but it looked great. There is also a huge shaded lawn area with loungers for relaxing and picnicking. We'll be sure to utilize these areas on our next visit! We had a fun experience for dinner at the hotel. The buffet dining room was extremely busy, but the staff really knows how to handle crowds. The maitre'd asked the staff to find us a table (although in general it is self-seating) which was quickly cleared and set up. We were promptly welcomed and enjoyed the local wine the server suggested. The buffet was large, plentiful and continuously stocked. We easily found some tasty food to meet our preferences and health needs. Overall everything was fresh and good. There were multiple youth groups dining while we were there and they all seemed to love the buffet, particularly the fried food. So something for everyone. When the kids at times became a bit too rambunctious, the wait staff expertly settled them down so that everyone could have an enjoyable experience. We watched in awe as the tables were constantly cleared and reset for incoming diners so quickly and efficiently. But we did have a good laugh when we went to explore the dessert bar and upon returning, found that our wine had disappeared in the midst of all this efficiency! So we simply finished our meal and then headed over to the lobby to relax with a drink and reminisce about our very fun day. The breakfast buffet the next morning was very busy. There was good variety of items offered; however, I had a bit of trouble finding healthy options at this meal. It would be helpful to have more fresh fruits and vegetables available. But otherwise, quite a good spread. And the service was again quite excellent. Staff throughout the hotel were very professional, friendly and helpful. Cleanliness was also excellent. Overall, we had a wonderful visit which exceeded our expectations, just a really great time. We would definitely like to return!

“big satisfaction”

We have been here for 15th time. We organize for our friends tennis tournament and all the time we were very satisfied. Rooms are nice, servis is very good, hotel equipment is also very good. Sport activities in surrounding of hotel pools, sauna,...).

An idyllic hotel by the Drava River with a stunning view of the medieval town of Ptuj. If you want to discover a beautiful corner of Slovenia with very friendly people, I recommend choosing this hotel. Extremely hospitable staff, a lovely pool, excellent saunas, and an incredibly beautiful spa. I was especially impressed by the massage, which is truly an exceptional experience and a great way to relax. Excellent food in the restaurant, beautiful and spacious rooms. I highly recommend it!

“Quite Hotel”

Part of a Titan tour, overall the experience was positive, food though could be improved, given the cost, I guess you simply expect slightly better. Rooms were large, plenty of space although room ventilation could be improved. Staff very helpful and engaging
