We recently stayed in this facility for close to a week (6 days/5 nights) and as always, due to the extensive travels of the Chillisolutions team, time for a fair review. The location was simple excellent and so central to the town, restaurants, beach cliffs and local scenery. What made it even more great was that the hotel apartments are located directly above a small mall with all kinds of local shops, supermarket (Checkers), liquor store and others literally seconds away from the apartments. The apartment layout was great with large kitchen (fully kitted with everything including a dishwasher), lounge & dining areas on the ground floor and 2 bedrooms with two bathrooms on the first floor - both floors service by balconies. The ground floor balcony had outside patio seating. TV reception was good via Smart wifi TV with our own DSTV sign in. Personnel was extremely friendly and professional and check-in was flawless - great team, Charl de Kock! Included to the apartment was parking in the basement with direct access via the escalator to the apartments. A few matters with service occurred and placed a damper on what coul have been an even greater stay: - Coffee & Tea facilities were not service in the apartment during the entire stay and on enquiry the stock was replenished on the afternoon of our last day. We relied on the local supermarket to secure our own stock. - On the first day we found that the ground floor aircon unit was not working and reported it to reception. On arrival, and after various efforts to get the unit going the maintenance person discovered the aircon power unit (external supply) was removed and advised that nothing could be done to remedy the situation. - The carpets in the main bedroom smelled of damp and it seems that carpets got wet at some point. - Hot water for bath and shower was scarce at times and during our stay we had "hot" water once. The location saves the hotel and we would recommend that the management team addresses the issues impacting the stay. We recommend that anybody considering staying in Hermanus consider this hotel as an option.

We booked this accommodation based on its reviews and were really delighted. The arrival is a bit confusing as you appear to arrive in a shopping mall car park, but don’t be put off. Once you find the lifts up to reception, all is well and there’s plenty of help with luggage and you can move the car into a secure car park. The apartment sleeps six so we only used one room and although there’s a massive balcony off the lounge area there isn’t much of a see view. We ate out most of the time but had one breakfast which was perfectly fine - you select off a list with a highlight pen and bingo the chef delivers exactly what you want. Absolutely brilliant value for money and is highly recommended

“Great location”

The house was huge! And we had two bedrooms with bathrooms. That was amazing! the view from my room was lovely. Especially with sunset. In the are there are restaurants, a mall and the coast walk to spot whales. Very nice location. Breakfast was ok, but nothing much. You can better go get breakfast… more
