I arrived around midnight and check-in was fairly easy. The main limitation, especially for an airport hotel, is that there was no room service available at that time and the restaurant was closed. The only real option was the convenience store, which makes the late-night service feel very bare-minimum for guests arriving after flights. As an Accor Platinum member, I was upgraded to a larger room, which I appreciated. No complaints about the room itself: it was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and it had everything needed for a good night’s sleep. One thing to keep in mind is that although this is an airport hotel, getting there late at night is not necessarily seamless. There are various online “hacks” for reaching the hotel if you miss the shuttle, but after arriving late I did not want to muck around with that and chose to take a taxi. The taxi process at Incheon can be confusing, with different lines for long-distance and short-distance journeys. Ask questions before you queue, otherwise you may wait only to be told at the front that you are in the wrong line, which is what happened to me. It was frustrating after a long journey. Also, while the hotel is at the airport, the terminals and airport hotel area are still some distance apart, so don’t assume it will feel like simply walking across the road from arrivals. Breakfast the next morning was uninspiring. There wasn’t a lot of love in the food, but if you’re not too fussy, there are enough basics — toast, yogurt, coffee and simple items — to get you through before heading back to the airport. The shuttle ran on time and was efficient, which is exactly what you want from an airport hotel. Overall, this is a practical and good-value option near Incheon Airport. It is cheaper than the Grand Hyatt Incheon, where I have also stayed, but the Hyatt is a much more full-service hotel. If you want better facilities and a more complete airport hotel experience, the Hyatt is the stronger choice if you are prepared to pay for it. If you just need a clean, comfortable room, an efficient shuttle and a lower price, the ibis Styles Ambassador Incheon Airport does the job.

This stay was only overnight on the way to Japan. Chose the location because it was conveniently located near the airport and they have a free shuttle service to and from airport. Communication through email before arrival was promptly replied. Good friendly service. The room allocated was bigger than expected. Did get a chance to have breakfast as the flight to Japan was early. Would stay again.
