My husband and I stayed here for four nights and were very impressed. The room was comfortable and clean, with all the usual amenities, and gave us a nice view of the Namdaemun gate. We had the buffet breakfast every day, which was quite good with an impressive selection of items, and reasonably priced. The hotel also has a nice gym as well as a laundry room. All of the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. The hotel is located just across from Namdaemun market and about a 10 minute walk to the nearest subway station. The hotel also has a free shuttle bus that goes to Seoul station. We would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Seoul.

Dear GM of Courtyard Marriott Namdaemun and Team, I am writing to express my sincere appreciation and compliments for Ms. Helena Kim, Front Office Manager at Courtyard Marriott Namdaemun, for her exceptional customer service, professionalism, and kindness during our recent stay. We arrived at the hotel close to 9:00pm on a Friday evening last night after a long journey from Busan to Seoul, made more challenging by heavy snowfall and taxi difficulties. By the time we checked in, we were understandably exhausted. During the check-in process, we discovered that our reservation—made through our agent—only included breakfast for one guest, despite the booking being for two. As it was already late in the evening, our agent was off duty and unreachable, leaving us unable to immediately clarify or resolve the booking discrepancy. Ms. Helena Kim attended to us at the front desk and was incredibly patient in listening to our situation and understanding our concerns. Despite the circumstances, she calmly and efficiently offered a thoughtful solution on the spot. Most notably, she ensured that we were covered for breakfast over the weekend, allowing us to rest properly after our long journey and giving us sufficient time to contact our agent to resolve the issue subsequently. We would also like to share that we are staying a total of eight nights at your hotel, followed by a short overnight ski trip, after which we will be returning to Courtyard Marriott Namdaemun for our final night. Ms. Kim’s assistance on our first evening set a very positive tone for our entire stay. In addition, I would like to make a brief but notable mention of Mr. Marcus, Assistant Front Office Manager, for his thoughtful and proactive service. We had called close to midnight to request laundry pickup and were advised to leave our laundry outside our door for housekeeping to collect the next morning. As we were uncomfortable leaving it outside overnight, we decided to hold on to it instead. The following morning, Mr. Marcus personally approached us during breakfast to enquire about our laundry, as they could not locate it outside our room. He wanted to ensure it had not gone missing and that arrangements could be made to collect it promptly before the cut-off time. We found this level of personal attention and care to be extremely warm and commendable. For many of our past visits to Seoul, our go-to accommodation has always been Fairmont Yeouido. This time, however, we decided to give Courtyard Marriott Namdaemun a try. Despite the initial hiccup, we have been very pleased with the level of service and hospitality extended to us, and we will most likely return again on our next visit to Seoul. We are grateful to Ms. Helena Kim for her quick, solution-oriented mindset, empathy, and dedication to guest satisfaction, as well as to Mr. Marcus for his attentiveness. Their actions exemplify the high standards of hospitality associated with the Marriott brand and made a meaningful difference to our experience. Please extend our heartfelt thanks and compliments to both team members. They are true assets to your hotel, and we hope their efforts are recognized accordingly.

“Fabulous stay in Seoul!”

Courtyard Seoul Namdaemun was amazing! Right in the center of Seoul so if you've never been (like us) this was the best place. Easy to get around (subway right outside). Courtyard Seoul Namdaemun was amazing! Right in the center of Seoul so if you've never been (like us) this was the best place. Easy to get around (subway right outside). Seoul is a great walking city, lots of places to explore but it is spread out. This was the BEST Courtyard we've stayed in! Rooms clean, nice size with lots amenities including a great Cafe/Bakery with wonderful views of Namdaemum Tower on the 22nd Floor. The Breakfast was spectacular--tremendous amount of choices all fresh too. The staff everywhere very professional, helpful and friendly. Loved our trip to Seoul -- will be back and will definitely stay here.

They have only one restaurant good for everything, Breakfast, lunch, dinner, busy.I think it has over 200 rooms but very few facilities. It could have been more for a 4 star. They have only one restaurant good for everything, Breakfast, lunch, dinner, busy.I think it has over 200 rooms but very few facilities. It could have been more for a 4 star. Quite expensive for what it offers. Same kind of trick booking.com.Meaning that you get a bad room and have to pay more money if you want another one.... In my opinion there are many other much better and cheaper hotels in Seoul, unfortunately I discovered them later.
