Hotel Newv was the perfect place to stay for our weekend get away. It's a five minute walk from Seolleung Station which was very convenient for us. It's only 1 stop away from the big COEX mall and two stops away from Gangnam station. The staff were friendly and spoke English well. They were also able to store our luggages even after we checked out. In terms of cleanliness, our room was very neat and tidy. They supplied us with fresh toiletries everyday (i.e. shampoo/conditioner). If you are a tourist, just know that it isn't in the heart of tourist attractions like Myeongdong, the Namsan Tower, or the Palaces. It will take at least 30 mins to get there by subway, however it is very easy to do so. With that being said, I would still recommend this hotel as it is away from the party scene, depending on what you're looking for.

“Recommend. ”

Good location.It was easy to access to Selung(subway) Station. The street toward hotel is slightly up hill. Clean and knit, but there is no window view. I'm going to visit this hotel next trip to Seoul.

This hotel offers modern and clean accommodations for a comfortable stay. The rooms are well-maintained and clean. Guests can enjoy a pleasant and refreshed experience during their visit. However, it's important to note that the hotel's location may not be ideal for all travelers. Unlike in Gangnam seocho area which more central to shopping district and foods. The reception name Tom Kim isn't helpful when we asked for call maxi cab due to our luggages. He was only tried to call twice form application and he wouldnt do anymore. Actually he only did once and i insisted to call more. Unlikely other hotels that we stayed was very helpful to did the same case. Guests should feel valued and respected throughout their stay. Courteous interactions, genuine smiles, and a willingness to assist can significantly enhance the guest experience. Investing in staff training programs that emphasize interpersonal skills and service standards is essential..

This hotel struggles with identity. From the outside and a few aspects of the inside, it is trying to compete with 4 star hotels. Let me summarize the four star elements: - gym - cleaning staff ... And that's about it. The rest of the hotel is trying hard to be 2 stars. Our room was set to 26 celcius in December. A nice tropical escape from the 1 or 2 degrees Seoul was facing at this time. However, 26 is pretty horrible for sleep. When I asked to turn it down, the staff indicated that I could not and would just need to open the windows. Windows open in downtown Gangnam... Interesting noise pollution. Let's talk about other interesting elements. After coming home from dinner one night, I was nibbling on a little snack passing through the lobby. Upon asking the staff a question, I was told I was not able to eat in the lobby. I was there for a grand total of 60 seconds and not under the influence of alcohol. Don't leave your key in your room. If you do, be forewarned... The staff will tell you that each additional key beyond 2 will cost about 10 USD. You would think these keys have some monetary value, but no, they are just keys. Finally (and I could continue), the staff at breakfast could use a lesson on when to ask a client to pay a bill. When that client has his hands full of food is probably not the right time. ... I'll spare my reviews of restaurant recommendations Simple lessons in demeanor and a big upgrade in emotional intelligence will send this to 4 stars. But my chips are stacked in the other direction.
