But, the deciding factor are the employees. Olivia has always been a professional pleasure to speak to. Her and her staff rock it! She simply is the face of a good team. The breakfast crew rock it too! Great offerings for a small hotel! 😊🤙🫰 1/2024 It's taken me a while to write this review because it was one of the most important reviews where I wanted to give a good, detailed review. On my very first visit to Seoul, it was a gem of a find. The staff I met here helped make my entire trip. First, I travel often and usually like to stay at either Hyatts or Marriotts. Both have been competitors for decades, but i must say the Moxy product is a very cool concept. While it seems targeted to the 30 - 40's age range, during my stay, I found that people of all ages were guests, especially my "older" generation. The hotel and location were so convenient, cozy, and efficient that I ended up canceling my reservation at the Four Points Josun and stayed here instead. This will be my go-to recommendation for all future trips to Seoul. You can't beat the balance of location and price. The main reason, though, was the staff, which I'll get to shortly. They have laundry facilities, luggage storage, a very reasonable and wide variety breakfast buffet. The guys in the morning were always very welcoming and attentive. Thank you. And yes, another reason I booked this hotel, a rooftop bar, which surprisingly serves as a checkin desk as well. Being a former hotel manager and now frequent traveler, I absolutely love the concept. It's visionary thinking, and I can see the efficiency. Sure, it's not a five-star hotel, but it's relatively new, convenient, has all the amenities you might need, small but friendly staff and location, location, location. There is a subway station directly in front of the hotel, and the bus stops are about a 5 minute walk away. You're literally less than 20 minutes bus ride from everywhere, including walking time. There is also an airporter stop about a 4 minute walk from the hotel. The number of places to eat in the area is crazy too. Like I said, mega-convenient. Oh, and did I mention the plethora of food tents on both sides of the sidewalk right in front of tge hotel? You can take a quick food tour of Seoul right outside your front door. The small housekeeping staff (Tuay) is very attentive as well, including the security guy who ensures only guests come in during high traffic hours unless you're going to the restaurant or bar. Lastly, and most importantly, the hotel did a fantabulous job when they hired their front desk / bartender staff. Being an experienced traveler, I understand the challenges of finding that combination in people. I also understand the importance of hiring good people. You did well! From the moment I checked in with Gia, it set the tone for the rest of my trip. She was welcoming, courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. Checkin was quick and painless. She also recommended a great place to eat within walking distance. It was so good I ate three entrées. Jessica (I think) had helped me change my reservations and extend my stay. I'm very thankful for that as it made me very, very happy. Jeannie and Olivia were also very attentive, informative, and friendly. I truly enjoyed their conversations and recommendations. Dave and Emily were very nice as well. Special thanks to Jay, who I probably "bothered" the most. I learned a lot about Seoul from him, and he was very attentive and giving with his time. Thanks again, Jay and the staff. I hope they see this review and their bosses do as well. As I wanted to say, the staff was the main reason for me to extend my stay and enjoy my first time in Korea. Thank you all so much. If ever I can return the favor in Hawaii, just holler out! Great job, great hotel, great staff! Give them a try and tell them John from Hawaii sent you! “A compact hotel in a convenient neighborhood”

One of the more interesting Moxy hotels I've stayed at. It was in front of exit 4 of Jongno 3-ga metro station of line #5. Alternatively, exit 3 of Jongno 3-ga metro station of line #3. For breakfast, there were plenty of cafes in the Ikseon-dong Hanok Village, right across the street from the hotel. The amenities were modern and the room was clean. The heat was powerful. AC was slightly loud at night (could be turned off). Some power outlet was loose, didn't charge fast. The small gym was nice. Overall a pleasant stay.
