Orakai was great, staff were great. The apartment we stayed in was on 16th floor and had two bedrooms and two bathrooms which were all well equipped as was the kitchen. Plenty of space in all rooms. The website photos do not exaggerate. The pool was great. Plenty of quality choices for breakfast without being too many choices. Good quality coffee. This will definitely be our hotel next year when we revisit Seoul. It is close to the must-see tourist sites and about 2 minute walk from the subway.

“Great location and amazing facilities - it's a serviced apartment.”

This was the first time I'd stayed in Insadong and the hotel is in a great location. Orakai is more of a serviced apartment than a hotel, as there is a proper kitchen with a full fridge/freezer, a washer/dryer, stovetop, oven, microwave, kettle, rice cooker, toaster and range hood. I was in the one room suite and it had two of everything needed for crockery and cutlery as well as cooking pots and pans. There were sponges, dish towels and dishwashing a dishwasher powder, although no powder for the washing machine (pro tip, travel with a pack of laundry sheets in a zip lock bag - they don't take up much space, smell nice and can be used in any machine). There is also a full out drying rack in the kitchen which, thanks to its placement near the airconditioning/heating vent, means any washing dries quickly and well. There were no coffee and tea supplies, but there is a 7-11 just across the street so it's easy enough to pick up provisions. There was a separate bedroom with really good storage, a safe and its own TV. The bed is one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in, in a hotel and the sheets were a good quality cotton. There is individual aiconditioning, one unit in the lounge area and one in the bedroom. The windows open slightly if you want fresh air. The lounge area has a lunge seat, single seat, coffee table and a large TV. There is seating for eating at the kitchen bench. The entry has masses of storage for shoes. The bathroom has a full bath, seperate shower, double vanity and a toto style toilet. There is also lots of storage in the bathroom. The towels were fluffy and clean although there is no face towel, but this seems to be a fairly common thing in Seoul hotels. I guess the benefit of a service apartment is that it's set up to live in so you can really unpack and not feel cramped or like you're living out of a suitcase, which was really nice. The rooms are serviced Monday to Friday only, not weekends, but can request it if needed. The hotel also has a lovely heated indoor pool, as well as a small spa and wading pool in the main area, with a male and female entry for the operate showers, and wet and dry sauna. The female only spas were closed when I was there for maintenance but the spa near the pool made up for that. There are two banks of elevators - one goes to the high floors only. I've seen other reviews that mentioned construction noise, but even after staying there for 9 nights, I didn't hear anything. The staff were really friendly and patient.

“Nice Apartment in Insadong with good views and proximity”

Stayed in Orakai with family for 2 nights. We stayed in 2 bedroom premier apartment. Apartment is very spacious and well maintained with all amenities. We all loved the view from the apartment. Staff is good and friendly. You can easily walk to Insadong street to explore options. Buffet Breakfast is not that great so do note on that. Overall very good stay.

“Good Honest Apartment Hotel”

Reading reviews was a little unsure to book, until I read a review from an Australian person who described it actually as it is , a standard services apartment hotel.(i believe it was previously a Frasers) It is not a Marriott or Sheraton so don't expect all that and you are not paying their rates.… more

Reading reviews was a little unsure to book, until I read a review from an Australian person who described it actually as it is , a standard services apartment hotel.(i believe it was previously a Frasers) It is not a Marriott or Sheraton so don't expect all that and you are not paying their rates. So please stop criticising about not offering all that. Front desk really good , excellent English and helpful. It is very well located - Insadong Gil is 50m away, can walk to Buchon Village, then to Palace and get the subway back. The subway is a 8-10 min walk away, which is line 3 but real easy to take this and get to Line 2 than main line that stops at all the tourist places. Seven eleven across the road, good to pick up some cold drinks and snacks, and your T Money card. The room is a little older , we got a two bedroom apartment , main bedroom with ensuite was really good, the second bedroom was smaller but not too small. All really clean, plenty of light, the kitchen had what you need didn't cook but useful to have full size fridge. There is a washing machine , didn't use as this was the start of the holiday. No outside noise didn't here construction works awhich afre right next door. The works look to be still in the ground, I daresay was it satarts going up it could get nosier. We asked for a high level room away from the construction side and that is what they gave us. If you are looking for a large apartment style room this is a very good choice. Only negative is the AC is a little loud at night when it comes on and off, however it does cool the apartment very well
