“Roomy well appointed apartment great location”

The location is excellent - Insadong is a very peaceful neighbourhood in Seoul and central for exploring. Our 2 bed apartment was very large , clean and well appointed. Would certainly stay again.

We stayed for five nights recently and had an excellent stay. We had a two-bedroom unit with well equipped full kitchen and living room that gave us a lot of room, especially for Seoul. It's true that there are some dings in the furniture and baseboards and the carpet in master bedroom was a little worn (otherwise had wood floors in the unit) but we didn't think this was a big deal. The unit was clean with a lot of closet and drawer space, safe that could accommodate laptops, good size bathroom with double vanity, separate tub and shower and toilet with bidet function, washer and dryer combo in the unit (though drying function was quite slow). Breakfast buffet as noted is a little repetitive--scrambled eggs with some kind of potato, bacon and sausage, breads, cereal, cut apples, banana, oranges every day. Generally well done but it's true that most of the breakfast could be found almost anywhere. However, soup and one dish varied each day (e.g. lasagna, pasta with bolognese sauce, one day Korean fried chicken). Weekends had an additional Korean dish (e.g. kimchi jigae) that was welcome--would be nice if there were more Korean or Asian dishes. Excellent location in Insadong area, lots of shops within walking distance with a focus on Korean arts and crafts, calligraphy brushes, pottery. 7-11 across the street from the front of the hotel and a well-stocked supermarket about a three minute walk away (turn left out the front door of the hotel, it is next to the Amid Hotel). We walked to Myeongdong, Gyeongbukgung palace and Bukchon Hanok Village--all about a 20 minute walk away--but the hotel is close to several subway stations as well (closest would probably be Jongno 3-ga Station). Staff professional and eager to please. Certainly there are less expensive alternatives, but hard to beat if you are looking for more room, and something more like an apartment in Seoul.

We stayed at the end of May 2026 for 3 nights and could easily have stayed longer. The receptionist gave us a complimentary upgrade to a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment which was huge with walk in wardrobe in the main bedroom, laundry room and office/work area. The kitchen was well equipped and it had a washing machine, dishwasher, iron and ironing board. Toiletries were good and plentiful. The Suites are in walking distance of the Jongno 3-ga and Anguk Metro Stations. We were also able to walk to major tourist attractions like the Gyeongbokgung Palace, National Folk Museum and Changgyeonggung Palace, using our Naver Maps app. There's a handy 7-Eleven just across from the entrance. On a Friday night there's a buzzing street market just round the corner. One night ,on our way back from the Jongno 3-ga metro station, we heard music coming from an upstairs Jazz Club, so decided to check it out and had a great night watching a live band playing soul and funk music. I would definitely recommend the Orakai Insadong Suites. I would also recommend downloading the Pagago app which helped us translate Korean to English.

“Good Honest Apartment Hotel”

Reading reviews was a little unsure to book, until I read a review from an Australian person who described it actually as it is , a standard services apartment hotel.(i believe it was previously a Frasers) It is not a Marriott or Sheraton so don't expect all that and you are not paying their rates.… more

Reading reviews was a little unsure to book, until I read a review from an Australian person who described it actually as it is , a standard services apartment hotel.(i believe it was previously a Frasers) It is not a Marriott or Sheraton so don't expect all that and you are not paying their rates. So please stop criticising about not offering all that. Front desk really good , excellent English and helpful. It is very well located - Insadong Gil is 50m away, can walk to Buchon Village, then to Palace and get the subway back. The subway is a 8-10 min walk away, which is line 3 but real easy to take this and get to Line 2 than main line that stops at all the tourist places. Seven eleven across the road, good to pick up some cold drinks and snacks, and your T Money card. The room is a little older , we got a two bedroom apartment , main bedroom with ensuite was really good, the second bedroom was smaller but not too small. All really clean, plenty of light, the kitchen had what you need didn't cook but useful to have full size fridge. There is a washing machine , didn't use as this was the start of the holiday. No outside noise didn't here construction works awhich afre right next door. The works look to be still in the ground, I daresay was it satarts going up it could get nosier. We asked for a high level room away from the construction side and that is what they gave us. If you are looking for a large apartment style room this is a very good choice. Only negative is the AC is a little loud at night when it comes on and off, however it does cool the apartment very well
