“Super hotel but WCs have a mind of their own!”

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights in room 1712, the/an Ambassador Suite. We took bus 6702 from the airport to the hotel. It took 2.5 hours, 18,000won, as the bus called at other hotels and the Ambassador was the last stop. The bus had to wait at several hotels near the end for a scheduled departure time in case passengers were returning to the airport. However, on return to the airport it took 1 hour 35 minutes as the hotel was 6th pick up. If you are using the bus to get to the hotel then it is best to get off at Jangchung Gymnasium from where the hotel will be about 5 minutes walk. It could save you 30 minutes or more. Check in had to be done in 18th floor as I had booked lounge access. ROOM Comprised an entrance hall with toilet, sitting area with sofa, easy chair, table and 2 chairs, fridge, tea/coffee facilities, tv. The bedroom had lounge chair, dressing table, tv. There was masses of storage space. The bedroom gave access to a walk-in wardrobe with safe, storage for cases, drawers and an area with 2 sinks. There was no iron/board but these were supplied on request. BATHROOM This comprised a room with 3 showers (2 wall-mounted and 1 overhead), a room with a toilet and in between them a bath in solitary isolation. There were large dispensers for toiletries. A small charge was made for a dental kit and a shaving kit. The WC was automatic and when the door to the cubicle was opened the toilet seat rose up. The seat was warm and flushing was automatic. It seemed to have a mind of its own and flushed sometimes too soon. A bit off putting sometimes! I tried twice to have a bath and found the water not sufficiently hot for comfort. However, the water in the shower was hot and efficient. LOUNGE ACCESS Breakfast was delicious with a huge choice of fresh salads, pastries, noodles, cooked dishes, fruit, yoghurt, cereals etc. There was a large coffee/tea making machine. Omelettes could be cooked to order. It was very quiet when we were there. Breakfast can also be eaten on 1st floor (ground) restaurant but we preferred the lounge. The lounge is open throughout the day with soft drinks, tea/coffee and cookies always available. Access included afternoon tea which was a stand with 4 savoury items and 6 sweet cakes. We enjoyed these with a cup of tea! Dinner had a fantastic selection of hot and cold dishes, cheese, desserts and fruit. The dishes were exceptionally high quality and delicious. However, the dishes never changed from day to day and it would have been good to have a “daily special” type dish. The hot dishes were not particularly a hot temperature. E.g. chips were lukewarm. We have eaten in other lounges around the world and this is the best we have experienced in terms of choice and quality. Drinks were free, and included wine, spirits and cocktails. We were given a voucher for a free drink in the bar on the 1st floor. It was surprising that water was not included in the choice. The hotel is about a 3 minute walk from a Metro station (Dongguk University) and so easy for exploring Seoul. I thoroughly recommend this hotel. We had a really marvellous stay and thoroughly enjoyed the food and comfort. All the staff were unfailingly polite and helpful.

We stayed here for a few nights and it was incredible! The rooms were spacious, clean and exceeded our expectations. Staff were polite and respectful at all times. The shower is amazing and you have all the amenities you'd ever need in a hotel. The hotel gym & spa is super cool and very much needed… more

We stayed here for a few nights and it was incredible! The rooms were spacious, clean and exceeded our expectations. Staff were polite and respectful at all times. The shower is amazing and you have all the amenities you'd ever need in a hotel. The hotel gym & spa is super cool and very much needed when you're battling jet lag! It's a little bit out from the main areas, so finding food nearby wasn't the easiest but you can just hop on the subway and it's 1 or 2 stops to the main shops/restaurants. If you're looking for comfort, I'd 100% recommend this hotel for your stay.
