Hello, I would like to share my experience from my stay at the hotel last weekend (1 night, May 16–17). I am a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum member who frequently stays at Marriott properties around Asia and US. As is often the case, my stay at The Westin Josun Seoul was thoroughly enjoyable, thanks to the consistently kind and attentive staff, whose hospitality left nothing to be desired. This visit, however, became special and memorable in an unexpected way. We chose the hotel to create a meaningful birthday memory for my young kid and reserved dinner at the Chinese restaurant Hong Yuan. Unfortunately, the dining experience was not entirely satisfactory. A few incidents, though likely unintentional, affected the overall experience. We shared honest feedback with the restaurant staff, as such moments can detract from what should be a joyful occasion, and my kid also felt somewhat uncomfortable. Later that evening, after spending some time in the Myeongdong area, we returned to the hotel through the lower lobby entrance and encountered something we had not anticipated. The staff member who had assisted us at the restaurant was waiting for our family, despite not knowing when we would return. She offered a sincere apology and presented us with a birthday cake for my kid. More than the gesture itself, what truly stood out was her thoughtfulness and dedication—taking the time to look out for us while attending to her duties, and personally delivering her message with genuine care. In that moment, any earlier negative impressions completely disappeared. Instead, I was reminded of what true "customer obsession" and hospitality look like. As I wished to convey my heartfelt thanks in a more meaningful way, I asked for her name. If this review reaches the hotel management, I would greatly appreciate it if you could acknowledge and commend her for her remarkable kindness and professionalism. Her name is Sanga Oh (오상아님), and she works at Hong Yuan, the Chinese restaurant. Thank you again for making our stay so memorable. We will gladly return whenever the opportunity arises. - Hansung

My wife and I had stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in early May 2026 after two plus years since our previous stay. With continuous renovations of its facilities, the hotel has successfully updated its entire facilities while maintaining its inherent elegant ambiance. Above all, this hotel’s most valuable assets seem to be the entire team of its staff members. Led by General Manager Junguk Lee, all the staff members have continued to serve the guests with amazing efficiency and courtesy. From arrival to departure, the guests would not need to make an effort to seek any assistance, because staff members would promptly show up to offer any assistance needed. We felt that they were all well versed mind readers with 360 degree vision. Among all the outstanding staff members of the hotel, the following members especially helped us feel this hotel our “home away home”. - Hotel Lobby: Sol Kim, Michael Baek, Ping Ko (고화평). - Executive Club Lounge: David (배경국), 강범구, 마성협, Jinny (최유진), Jenny (정예송), Blair (육보미), Ella (남슬기), Leen (김도현), Lia (이다연), 이민하. - Aria Restaurant: Junseong Heo, Judy Kim, Jaewon Choi. I would highly recommend The Westin Josun Seoul as a top choice hotel in Seoul.
