“Clean, comfortable and very close to all bus depot”

Stayed for two nights at Arirang Hotel. Courteous front desk staff spoke English. Were very helpful in calling taxi's (which are very cheap...just under 3-5 bucks for most places around town), and just now at check out, the owner drove us to the limousine bus (going back to Incheon Airport costs around $32 each). We offered him money for driving us and he wouldn't take it! The breakfast each morning had a good variety of items, including boiled eggs, fresh fruit and salad items plus juices, coffee, milk, bread, toaster, pastries and a coffee maker with pot full all ready. Breakfast was included ...at $80/night this is excellent value! Only negative is a Korea-wide phenomenon:at times the drains in bathrooms are smelly, but this isn't all the time...a damp towel over the drain in the floor helps and it really didn't bother us. (Apparently the curve in westernised drains prevents this odour problem.) Anyway, overall Arirang Hotel was clean & had a good elevator with a spacious room and bathroom. Parking is available. The room had a fridge with water and soft drinks, excellent air-conditioner, kettle, hair-dryer, computer & TV, also wardrobe, table & chairs plus desk. We would stay again for the excellent service & value.

“Good location”

We stayed one day on April. The hotel was less than 10 minutes walking distance from express bus terminal. Our fifth floor room was decent and with a view to the street. We stayed one day on April. The hotel was less than 10 minutes walking distance from express bus terminal. Our fifth floor room was decent and with a view to the street. Tooth brushes, shampoos etc were supplied for free as well as free water. The toilet had a glass wall which was a bit annoying. Also, we did not have shower curtain, and plumb was a bit stuck. However, location was good and minimal breakfast (omelet, fruits, cereals, coffee) was ok, so I won't complain.

“You can do better”

This hotel is 'just OK' and you could find a better one. I had reserved a room for several days but checked out early. The hotel is grubby and things don't work (like the computers in every room). Although all beds in Korean hotels are hard, this one was as hard as a plank of wood. No one at recept… more

This hotel is 'just OK' and you could find a better one. I had reserved a room for several days but checked out early. The hotel is grubby and things don't work (like the computers in every room). Although all beds in Korean hotels are hard, this one was as hard as a plank of wood. No one at reception speaks English and although one of us spoke basic Korean, it wasn't enough to get assistance.

very convenient for the express bus station going intercity within Korea. About 10 minutes walk through a seedy and grubby area to the hotel. Room just about ok but bathroom a bit smelly. Staff very helpful and every convenience in the room even hairspray and toothpaste! Breakfast was free and a surprise with fresh fruit, yoghurt and decent orange juice.

“Mixed feelings”

Location wise it is good for both bus terminals (it overlooks the Intercity terminal which confusingly is where most of the local buses go from; the Express terminal - where most of the intercity buses go from is a 5 minute walk left out of hotel). Location wise it is good for both bus terminals (it overlooks the Intercity terminal which confusingly is where most of the local buses go from; the Express terminal - where most of the intercity buses go from is a 5 minute walk left out of hotel). There are food options nearby outside the intercity terminal though they won't win any awards or there is a 7-11 within a 2min walk. If you want good restaurants though then you'll need to get a taxi / bus into the centre which is where all the historical sights are. Room was initially clean though there was the normal Korean hairbrush incident - they leave a hairbrush full of other people's hairs in your room. On our second day though we came back at 7pm to find our towels dumped in the middle of the floor and the bins emptied into bags.. and again dumped in the middle of the room, and there were dirty footprints in the bath...weird. It was like the cleaner had given up midway through. We did have a small balcony. Wifi was free, fast and available in the room. Good range of English channels on the Tv once we figured out how to use it.
