I Stayed here for a week with my mom as a transition place before moving closer to the coast. I chose it because of the price and didn't expect too much. It is FAR from the coast and any amenities. Complex it self has a single pool (I believe) and luckily there was not people staying there otherwise it would be way too crowded. Complex was like a ghost town. Apartment we stayed in was owned by a private person and it was decently furnished. Terrace was big with views of hills and sourandings. Even though Sol Andalusi has potential to be attractive it is sad too see all the apartment surrounding the main building completely empty. I hope better times come!

“A different Hotel Stay”

Me and my boyfriend arrived at the Sol Andalusi finally as the taxi driver could not find it's location at first. A friendly receptionist greeted us but could not find our booking. She allowed us to use the phone to telephone BA who we used to book the hotel through, however she did find us when her supervisor phoned through. Was very apologetic and allow us to not pay the remote control deposit. (usually ten euros). We had a studio room on the second floor that overlooked the parking lot. The room was clean but had twin beds.

“Wonderful staff, beautiful location.”

The hotel is clean and spacious, and the twin bed apartment was similarly clean and spacious. The hotel is clean and spacious, and the twin bed apartment was similarly clean and spacious. The grounds are well landscaped, with beautiful views, but could be improved considerably with the introduction of some aquatic plants to the duck pond. The outdoor pool is excellent, but did not visit the indoor pool or spa. I must mention the staff - every member of staff - reception, waiters, cleaners - was friendly and helpful. It is rather isolated, but is served by a very cheap public bus service ( 2 euros to the local small town - Alhaurin ) 15 minute trip, bus stop at perimeter of resort. Malaga is about 45 minutes. Taxis to airport, order at reception, 20 minute journey, 25 euros. Courtesy bus to Alhaurin is free, leaves at 11.00, and picks you up again promptly at 13.00. Some advice - we had booked half board, but changed to bed and breakfast. Evening meal with half board was buffet in cafeteria - not good. Breakfast in cafeteria, however, was good. Evening meals in restaurant were overall very good, but we found an occasional trip into Alhaurin was necessary for a little variety. The wardrobes, for some unfathomable reason, are different in each apartment, some with poor hanging space, and this should be sorted. Some had safes, ours did not, so we shared with friends who had. To me, a safe is a necessity. We also had to ask for a hair drier, again, I would have thought, a necessity. And for a remote, which did not work, but according to our friends there were no English speaking programmes worth watching anyway. Also be aware that there are dogs in some of the apartments, but not of course in the eating areas. Overall, however, a very enjoyable week.
