We really felt like we were in a true Córdoba home. Like being at grandmas house! The studio was within a building that had a total of 7 apartments. You enter in the typical fashion of an entry that opens onto an open sky patio. Stunning! All the units have a window or as ours had a French door that opens to look down into the patio. There is also a common terrace on the roof top in beautiful terra cotta tile. You enter by going up the common stairway. Nice view of the Mezquita from up there! Check-in was easy as a code is sent to you before arrival. It’s an easy 20 minute walk from the RENFE train station, through old town, across the beautiful Roman Bridge and down a safe neighborhood street. Quiet area and perfect for going into old town and also for escaping the crazy busy tourist areas. Our studio was spotless. So compact and perfect. Comfy bed. Nice linens in both bed and bathroom. The little cocina had everything you need to cook. An amazing fast induction hot-plate, small fridge, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, stovetop espresso maker, juicer, blender and every utensil you will need. Amazing they fit what they did in this studio, apartment number 4. We loved it and would highly recommend. You do not need a huge space. You are supposed to be out and about in the beautiful city of Córdoba.

The apartment was clean and tidy and situated just off the south end of the Roman bridge, only 10-minutes walk from the old town. However, it was spoilt by the kitchen being inadequate. For cooking, there was only a single ring portable hob, a travel kettle and a microwave. There was no hot water supply to the kitchen for washing dishes. There was insufficient work-surface for preparing food and cooking. There was no table to sit inside and eat and the breakfast bar had no overhang to tuck your knees under, so you couldn't easily sit there either. There was a table and chairs on the roof-terrace, but the outside lights didn't work and obviously hadn't for a long time, so eating outside after dark was a non-starter. This apartment is ill-equipped for self-catering. Neither the bathroom wash-basin nor the kitchen sink was provided with a plug. On complaining, the agent provided one single plug, which only fit the wash-basin. Apparently they didn't have plugs to fit the kitchen sink, so we had to insist that they buy a plastic washing-up bowl so that we could wash the dishes. The check-in process wasn't easy. The local agency used an online checkin, which was difficult to complete and would have been impossible for anyone without a smartphone or who did not use WhatsApp. The online form was only available in Spanish, so the instructions on the form were difficult to follow for a non-spanish speaker. Checking in also involved uploading a photograph of the passport and a selfie for each guest. We somehow managed to upload the first-guest details into the second guest slot, which then stopped us from being able to upload the second guest details. That shouldn't have been possible. It would have been useful to receive better instructions on the checkin process before arrival and having the online check-in form available in English would also be a big advantage.
