Location- 15/20 minutes walk into city centre. The area isn’t the best. As a female I did feel slightly uncomfortable on some occasions walking through the side streets however my partner said he felt fine. There was one situation where we got back to the accommodation and there was a large group of people hanging around outside sat on the pavement- just something to consider especially if travelling solo as i did feel slightly intimidated. Room- lovely room, nice layout and space. Plenty of amenities (microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, hairdryer, ironing board, fridge)- could not fault this. Best amenities we’ve had in an apartment/room. Decor was lovely, very modern and new. Very clean. Could not fault the accommodation in any way. Service- check in online was easy. Used the WhatsApp service to communicate with accommodation prior to arriving to book early check in. Very quick and easy. Noise level- we were on level 3. The walls did seem quite thin and could hear a lot of noise. However, not sure if it was unfortunate for us that other guests on our floor had a crying baby for the majority of the of our stay so this caused a lot of noise disruption for us in the mornings and evenings. We did not spend a lot of time in the room as we used it as a base for exploring Malaga and surrounding areas. However, the biggest let down for us and why I have rated it a 3* was due to the bed comfort. We’re not fussy with this and I’ve never commented on a bed within reviews on other accommodation previously. However, this was the most uncomfortable bed either of us have ever stayed in. After 2 nights of very little sleep, we tried the sofa bed in the living room hoping for a final night of sleep before checking out. However, this was not any better (if not worse) and again resulted in very little sleep. The pillows are very very soft and no support at all- again, not something I usually ever think to comment on but this, along with a very uncomfortable bed unfortunately led to us being very sleep deprived during our holiday. Whilst we did have a good time we were unfortunately glad to come home on our final day purely to get a decent nights sleep. For this reason (and personally for me the location), I would not stay again. Value- now that we have left, I would maybe think a slightly lower price would be more appropriate taking into account the lack of comfort and the area. Please note this accommodation does not have a reception area with staff- it is self service.
