I absolutely loved my stay at Cavalta Boutique - I spent a long time researching and am so glad I picked this beautiful little hotel. The hotel looks probably better than the photos: beautiful large rooms and a fantastic roof terrace - actually not small by Seville standards. The pool is small, its true you can’t do lengths in it, but its larger than I thought and than many other hotels in the city - enough to spread out and swim back and forth a bit - it’s not a bathtub! There are about 4 sun loungers, so I never had an issue getting one when I needed it, plus a lot of chairs and sofas with parasols you can relax in. I travelled by myself (solo trip) and the team at Cavalta couldn’t have done more to make my trip memorable - from the moment I checked in with Paula (who was fantastic!) to the moment I left with Juan, the service was of a high standard. Paula couldn’t have done more for me - when I arrived she made sure I got a glass of cava before we conducted the check-in, then proceeded to give me all her recommendations for my trip in Seville, marking out landmarks and hidden gems, and local restaurants like Bar Típico (which was one of my faves of the trip!). It really started my trip off in the perfect way - with a smile and a full heart! I stayed in the standard Deluxe Room for my first two nights, and for my final two nights Juan and Rosa upgraded me to a Junior Suite - which was a lovely surprise and really made my trip extra special! I also organised a massage through the hotel which was great and so easy, as they came to my room and I paid when I checked out (€135 for 85 mins). Other small touches I appreciated, were I got a free bottle of Cava included with my booking, and as I was staying alone they dutifully poured it for me a glass at a time, re-sealing it and keeping it in the fridge for me over the course of my trip - most hotels would just leave the bottle in your room and you’d have to finish it all in one go! They also have a pillow menu, and Juan brought me up one of each so I could test them and get the perfect night’s sleep. I also had a great lunch on my last day at the hotel’s restaurant, and wish I had eaten there sooner! I took Paula’s recommendation and had the Shrimp Bao bun - highly recommend if it’s still on the menu - followed by a HUGE portion of octopus. If you’re worried about the location, I was before I booked and I am happy to say - don’t be! Unlike some other Spanish cities I’ve visited (Madrid for example), Seville is very flat so its so walkable. It takes only 10 mins to get to Triana bridge (a sight in itself) and then you’re over into Seville proper. Most of my return walks of an evening were ~20 mins - taxis were available and cheap, but I enjoyed the walk and never found it difficult or boring. The bridge both by day and night is incredibly picturesque and charming, and the walk through Triana takes you past a lively street with bars, restaurants, etc. The hotel is by a road, however it’s much quieter at night and I found the sound-proofing to be excellent, so I found it very peaceful and quiet. I read reviews complaining about the hospital next door - I heard one siren during the day on the terrace, never anything from inside the room or at night. I fell in love with Seville and will absolutely be back, and will do my best to be back in one of these 12 beautiful rooms at Cavalta - Muchas gracias Cavalta team for a trip I’ll never forget!
