We stayed for 3 nights in the Casa Del Poeta and was a great stay. It is a beautifully styled 17th century villa with interesting artwork and colours, and with modern amenities. It is over 3 levels with a rooftop terrace with views of the Giralda and other landmarks. We were upgraded to the suite which was large, comfortable and clean. The air con worked very well and it was very hot outside. The breakfasts were excellent and pre-dinner drinks were very pleasant with a guitarist playing for an hour from 7.30pm. The staff were professional and attentive, and provided a breakfast bag for us on departure as our train left early. The location is perfect being in a quiet lane in the historic Santa Cruz district. Thank you to the staff and we highly recommend this hotel.

“A MAGICAL PLACE!”

From the moment you step through the doors of the Casa del Poeta, you know you are in for a special experience. After a long day of travel we were kindly greeted as if we were long-lost family just arriving. We were calmly invited to sit in the beautiful courtyard and have a cool drink and rest before going to our room. Our first receptionist, whose name was Noor, was a gem, just delightful to get to know. She was knowledgeable, professional, patient and engaged throughout our stay. Super helpful. (ALL of the staff were impeccable!) After having a cocktail and listening to the daily afternoon classical Spanish guitar performance in the courtyard, we went up to our room which was beautiful and comfortable. All the rooms open on to the courtyard with its fountain below. In the mornings, we enjoyed the Casa's fabulous buffet breakfast, with so many choices of beautiful tortillas, eggs, sausages, pastries, breads, cheeses, and fruits it was difficult to make choices! Again, we loved eating out in the courtyard before beginning our day. There is also a rooftop furnished with tables, chairs and chaise lounges where one can see all of old Seville (the Barrio de Santa Cruz) around. (NOT for the heat of the day, of course, but evenings were sublime!) This location is EXCELLENT. We were only a few minutes walk away from the Alcazar, the cathedral, various plazas, and all the other sites we wanted to see. There was an abundance of fabulous little tapas restaurants and shops just steps away. I had been a bit concerned about safety as we were in Seville to attend a family wedding that went until 4 a.m., and we had to walk back, but we were assured it would be fine on our return and it truly was. (This hotel is in the old Jewish quarter of the city and there is NO car or taxi access directly to the Casa's door. Part of its charm!) We have traveled all over the world. There are only a few hotels that stand out for us as TRULY special and this is one of them. It was an unforgettable experience for us that we'll always treasure. If you're lucky enough to book here, DO it.

My wife and I stayed here during the Feria season, which is a very energetic and crowded time for the city. The hotel was secluded yet centrally located; serene, yet beautifully decorated; above all, it was extremely comfortable, with intentional touches and attention to detail across the experience. The quality of the room and accouterments within were top rate, the likes of which you generally only see with major international luxury hospitality groups. This made for a lovely oasis and retreat from the activity of the city. Furthermore, the staff and manager of the hotel were some of the kindest and most genuinely warmhearted people we encountered on our trip. From giving us local restaurant recommendations, to helping us navigate the Feria, to organizing cabs to and from the train, they were incredibly responsive and friendly. One day, we had a minor medical emergency while out and about in the city. Upon returning to the hotel, Rocío at the front desk arranged a visit to a local hospital and gave me clear directions for how to connect with staff when we arrive. She did this all very quickly and with the utmost care. Then, as we prepared to go catch a cab, the owner/manager of the hotel himself personally drove us there, ensuring we got settled with the intake desk before he left. All went well, and it was truly a moment that showed how much this team cares about the guests. The other desk clerks were checking in with us throughout the rest of our stay as well. In many ways, the experience reminded us that people really do care about each other, even across language barriers and distances. All in all, I could not recommend staying here more, and fully intend to return someday. Thank you Rocío and team!

“I recommend”

Great hotel. The rooms are clean, spacious, and bright. Everything you need is provided in the room. The staff is friendly. It was a pleasure to stay in such a beautiful and cozy place.
