Our first time in Seville and at this hotel and we weren’t disappointed. Great, helpful staff. If you are a level customer go left to check in upon arrival. We had a terrace room which was lovely. Although very hot in the afternoon when the sun hits, to be expected in July! The room was all air conditioned. The large pool was great and lovely to see during the week local school children come for a cool off for 30 minutes at lunchtime! The sun hits the pool area about 11 am. Thanks to Ines for looking after us! As regular level lounge goers in different hotels we knew exactly what to expect and it didn’t disappoint. The staff were lovely many thanks Gloria and Patricia. We particularly liked the al a carte option for breakfast. A great location, five minutes walk from the Plaza de España which is well work a visit. The bar (premier garden cocktail bar) in the park opposite the hotel is worth a visit too. The Seville music festival was on whilst we were there and very handy to have the hotel so close! It’s about a 20 minute walk into the centre. We got an uber to Setas and surrounding area and would recommend that too. Gym is large, could be improved with more equipment.

“Lovely 4 night break”

We stayed at The Level Meliá Seville for four nights as a family of four (my husband, our two sons aged 14 and 16 and myself) and overall we had a really enjoyable stay. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. We booked a Level Suite, which sleeps up to four adults. The bedroom had twin beds that were very comfortable for hotel beds, while the separate lounge area had a pull-out sofa bed. The lounge itself was a great size, but unfortunately the sofa bed wasn’t very comfortable. I mentioned it to reception after our first night and they promptly arranged for a mattress topper to be added, which did improve things a little. However, it was still not particularly comfortable and when my husband checked it, it looked as though the bed was broken, which probably explained why. As we were only staying four nights, we didn’t feel it was worth asking to change rooms. The bathroom was excellent for a family, with double sinks, a bath with a shower over it and a separate walk-in shower, meaning there was plenty of space for all four of us to get ready. The room was spotlessly clean and was serviced every day. We also loved our terrace and the beautiful view overlooking the Huertas de la Salud, which is a stunning building. I’m really pleased we chose to book The Level. Having a separate reception made check-in feel much more relaxed and the exclusive breakfast area was lovely. There was a great selection of fruit, yoghurt, breads, pastries and coffees available to help yourself to, alongside a menu of freshly cooked hot breakfast options. Throughout the day, the Level Lounge offered complimentary snacks and drinks, and between 6pm and 8pm there was a selection of tapas. There was an excellent choice of both soft drinks and alcoholic beverages and it was nice that the drinks were branded rather than cheaper alternatives. The pool was a real bonus, especially as we visited in July when the temperatures were extremely high. It was the perfect place to cool off after a morning of sightseeing. The only downside was the lack of sunbeds and shade. Because we explored the city in the cooler mornings and used the pool in the afternoons, we often struggled to find available sunbeds. We usually ended up with chair loungers instead and there was very little shade. There is definitely room for more sunbeds and in particular, more parasols. The pool bar had a good selection of food and drinks. The drinks menu was excellent and although the food was good, I think adding pizzas to the menu would be a great option for families or for sharing at lunchtime. Service at the pool bar could be quite slow, but this seemed to be due to the bar being understaffed rather than any lack of effort from the staff themselves. The hotel’s location is another plus. It’s just a short walk from the beautiful Plaza de España, one of Seville’s must-see attractions and around a 10–20 minute walk into the main city centre. Overall, we had a fantastic stay. The Level experience was well worth the extra cost, the staff were friendly and helpful and despite a few minor issues, particularly with the sofa bed and the limited number of sunbeds, we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would happily return.

“Not really worth the money for the Level in this hotel.”

Nowhere near as good as other "Level" accomodation, we have stayed in, at other Melia hotels. Simple thing - it was my birthday while I was there, other Melia Level accomodation have sent up an outstanding plate of chocolate and fruit delicacies. Even non Melia hotels always pick up on family birth… more

Nowhere near as good as other "Level" accomodation, we have stayed in, at other Melia hotels. Simple thing - it was my birthday while I was there, other Melia Level accomodation have sent up an outstanding plate of chocolate and fruit delicacies. Even non Melia hotels always pick up on family birthdays from passports handed in at recption, so send something, maybe a bottle of wine and a card. Bad show Seville Melia. Also the facilities and accomodation wasn't as good. Nor the food and service, other than at breakfast, which was excellent. Rooms were spotless. Some noise from adjacent rooms. Pillows a bit difficult to get used to. Showers powerful and very hot. Pleased to see tissues supplied in the bathroom. Not sure it's worth the extra money in this hotel, for the level.
