The reviews/rating tells you it's good. The most helpful and kind owner. He suggested bars to visit, sorted our parking discount and gave us chocolates and a hug when we left. The reviews/rating tells you it's good. The most helpful and kind owner. He suggested bars to visit, sorted our parking discount and gave us chocolates and a hug when we left. The rooms are immaculate and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was snug, but fine, though if you're taller/larger it may be an issue. The location is brilliant. We actually preferred a couple of local bars to the more touristy ones in the Old Town, so get out and explore. Great location and surprisingly quiet, despite major building works in the road outside, which had no effect on our stay here. Well deserved ratings.

Excellent location near the beach and the old town for restaurants, and typical tourist sites. My room was small and a bit awkward to move around in, the bed comfortable. My room had a small, indoor “balcony” with lacy white curtains. But for privacy and darkness, there was a thick curtain btwn the balcony and the rest of the room, a thoughtful touch. Owner (?) Iñaki was an excellent host: he called the taxi for me, and he researched bus schedules. Tips: Although Iñaki is present most of the time, there is no 24-hour reception. Instead, you’ll get 3 keys: to the bldg, to the hostal door, and to your room.

Iñaki was very friendly and accomodating when checking in. He gave us a map of the city and shared some of his favorite spots. Iñaki was very friendly and accomodating when checking in. He gave us a map of the city and shared some of his favorite spots. The space was kept immaculately clean, even the TV remote was wrapped in plastic to help keep it clean. The beds were very soft and quite comfortable, but the sheets were a bit scratchy. Every time someone walked by our room it sounded like they were trying to come in, but otherwise it was quiet. The location is nice, only a short walk from old town and all the pintxos and txakoli.

This is a perfectly located pension with a kind and helpful owner. He communicated in advance to coordinate my arrival time and met me and gave me an introduction to his space as well as the city, highlighting five suggestions to eat and several things to do or see. The room was small but comfortable and a private bathroom is always nice. There was jackhammering type construction on the street right out the window from 8am-7pm each day. that was no fault of the place, but it was loud! Inaki did provide foam earplugs in the room.
