Ideally situated to visit the cathedral. Very steep access to the reception area, would have been difficult for anyone with a disability. Spacious room and comfortable bed. Breakfast was chaotic, long table set up and as people finished their breakfast the table was not cleared, it was not nice to sit eating surrounded by dirty dishes. The choice of food was good. Pity that my husband had to struggle into a bath for a shower despite having requested a walk in shower.

The hotel is centrally located close to Burgos’s fantastic cathedral. We were there one night at the beginning of our tour and then a second night at the end of our tour. The first time we got a quite nice room. The second time we got a room the was not as nice as the first one. Our bathroom heating system wasn’t working. The lady from the reception said that was automatic and should turn on at 8 PM, which didn’t happen. Anyway we say it again and she offered to change the room. We did not do it because the next day we had to leave Burgos and was complicated to move our belongings so late. The breakfast was good. The service ok… everything together fine…

“Nice hotel , try to ask for a view rather than delux room”

- hotel car park is 21 Euros a night . . To enter - drive up the ramp to hotel door , off load luggage and check in . To get into the car park it’s on the left as you exit the ramp . You have to exit the hotel and come back up the ramp to get the turn safely -No hair conditioner , even if you ask reception - restaurant is ok , but bar has no real outside space or views which was disappointing given its so far up the hill - don’t both with delux room . The garden area in ground floor is overlooked . I think a view would of been better - nice size bathroom and room

“Expected more for the price”

Location of the hotel is fabulous and great to have secure on site parking as we were driving up from marbella to get the ferry home so car was packed. Had a lovely evening walk into the old town and found some great tapas bars. We traveled with 2 small dogs and had to pay 60 euros for them to stay with us. This was meant to include some pet treats but there was nothing. Great that the hotel allows pets in your room but they are certainly not pet friendly and not allowed anywhere else in the hotel nor can they be left in the room. We paid 244 euros for one night, the most we have ever paid for overnight accommodation (without breakfast) when we stop over to break our drives to and from the ferry. The room with the small grass area was very convenient. Would be good to have some outside bins. Two tea bags and two coffee pods was a bit stingy. Bathroom was good and room okay but a bit grubby, our dogs found two champagne corks under the bed, made great chews but made you wonder how thorough the house keeping was. We were disappointed that the restaurant isn’t open in the evening and you can’t sit in the bar with your dogs, not that you would want to given the fact that it’s just an extension of the reception area with the ambiance of an airport departure lounge. Our free gift for booking via the hotel was two mojitos which we didn’t use. Expected something more exciting or useful. We didn’t get to use any of the other facilities. It seems to be predominantly a conference/ tour group hotel. It’s busy but possibly relying on the fact that few of the group bookings ever return. Overall, we left feeling we didn’t get anywhere near value for money. Pleased we got to see a small piece of Burgos but unlikely to return to the Abba hotel.
