“Great Fortress”
This is a fortress in the border between Portugal and Spain, built in the 16th century. It was a strategic defensive settlement during the War of Independence from France. Nowadays, there is a hotel in this historical site. I really live the place, and the history behind.

Stayed here on our route through Spain into Portugal. It looked interesting on the website and proved to be that and more.
