My adult daughter and I stayed at the TEMBO Barcelona for a week while I was attending a conference at the CCIB. While it was a short walk away, it wasn’t far and it was a lovely place to stay. We found the staff super helpful, starting with Claudia at the front desk. The apartment - a spacious one bedroom - only had one bed but they were happy to give us sheets to make up the sofa in the living room (it was *almost* big enough). The fridge was super helpful and the microwave was very useful; we gave the Condis supermarket around the corner plenty of business . What was weird was the overhead cupboard - thank goodness we didn’t try to eat anything in a deep bowl, as they were up near the ceiling! A very minor concern. The supplied water was appreciated and very nice, and the internet was fast enough and reliable. The bathroom was what really stood out. The water pressure from the overhead and handheld shower was fantastic! We really missed it on the next stop on our trip. Also the self service guest laundry. I wish more hotels had these - very necessary on a longer trip! One more highlight was the room service menu. The burger wasn’t anything to write home about but was perfectly fine. The hommous was amazing & sets the standard that future hommous will aspire to. Reallllly delish. The ice cream and the brownie were both great. And the burrata salad was genuinely fantastic. The TEMBO is a little way out of town but would definitely be my first pick on a return to Barcelona.

This is a very pleasant hotel for your stay in Barcelona with fabulous views from the rooftop pool, bar and restaurant. We had booked a studio which was clean and reasonably sized. However, the people in the room next door to us were very noisy, sitting out on their balcony talking and laughing from 1.30 a.m. until 3 a.m. on our second night. I eventually called the front desk and security responded quickly to ask them to keep the noise down. They retreated inside their room but unfortunately, we could still hear them talking until about 4.30 a.m. so my daughter and I had a very poor night's sleep. The next morning I asked at reception if we could change rooms and this was absolutely no problem for the reception staff, Navissa (sorry if that isn't quite right) and Consuelo. Navissa moved us to a lovely room which was an upgrade on our original booking. It was much bigger with a huge balcony and if I stay at this hotel again, I will definitely book this room type. We really appreciated being able to change our room and have a restful night's sleep. We had drinks and also tapas at the Skybar. The food was delicious, and once again the staff were very friendly and welcoming. There is a relaxing terrace with excellent views and several loungers and chairs next to the pool. Although you will need transport to visit the main attractions, there is a large shopping and entertainment complex, Diagonal Mar, within easy walking distance and the City Tour hop on/hop off bus stops nearby. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for your stay in Barcelona.

Our time at this hotel was really pleasant, we arrived earlier than check in but were able to take a shower get changed and leave our bags with the front desk. The rooms are spacious, modern and clean. We found the balcony a great touch to have, and the kitchenette is fully equipped with anything you could need. We had no issues with sleep as the curtains are blackout, we also couldn’t hear any one else in the rooms next to us. The bed and pillows are also extremely comfortable! As some other reviews said i would agree some of the surrounding area isn’t too aesthetically pleasing. However that doesn’t define a place and it definitely didn’t affect our stay, we found the local people polite and did not feel unsafe. They also have an amazing local bakery which does delicious pastries. The closest beach is a twenty minute walk away - but i’d advise getting a bike to make the journey shorter. It’s a more quiet local beach which we really enjoyed. There is a supermarket close by that sells cooling bags so you can pick up snacks and drinks etc which is great. I found the staff throughout the stay very accommodating, they provided quick reliable service. Also came to our room and delivered chocolates, alchohol and a card for my fiancées birthday without me even asking. The only small thing i would complain about is we didn’t have the chance to use the rooftop pool. It was a small space with six or so loungers often overcrowded whenever we tried to go, i also read online it’s open to the public which doesn’t help the situation. However it didn’t affect our stay at all as we luckily had the beach close by but could be an issue for some.
