The location is perfect and the building is beautiful. I was actually impressed that our walking tour featured the hotel as part of the historic center. The staff is really nice and attentive and the bed very comfortable. It is very clean and smells nice everywhere. I appreciated the free wifi and in-room coffee. Overall it was very quiet, although sometimes you can hear people in the hallways. I also tried the restaurant and, even though the service was slow, the food was excellent. This is my second stay and would definitely come back next time I'm in town.

This beautiful hotel in a tastefully renovated 16th century palace is perfectly located in the wonderful old town of Caceres. All sights are in easy walking distance, and there is also a small supermarket around the corner. The rooms are all slightly different in size and outlook, which gives this hotel extra charm. You will most likely need to climb a few steps to reach your room. Our room looked out onto a sunny patch of green space in the Plaza de San Juan, which was very tranquil once the morning street cleaning had finished. In the evenings you may hear some noise from the nearby bars and restaurants, including the hotel's own. Also worth noting that people might smoke right underneath your window (sitting in the outdoor space of the hotel bar/restaurant). Our room was lovely and full of character. We very much appreciated having a kettle as well as a coffee maker. The bathroom light was quirky in that it lit up the entire room in the night due to glass walls in the top section. The mattress I found a little hard and consequently didn't sleep quite as well as hoped. Worth noting: if you don't make use of the room (cleaning) service you may get a free drinks voucher, a nice reward. Breakfast was amazing - wonderful fresh fruit, delicious pastries and bread, great coffee with warm milk available, everything quickly resupplied by the efficient staff. We also made use of the hotel restaurant in the evening on a couple of occasions and enjoyed the food very much. Staff were great throughout the hotel. A wonderful experience, thank you Palacio Oquendo.

The hotel is situated on a beautiful plaza in the heart of the old town and right next to the walled centre of the old town, so everywhere worth visiting and exploring is a short walk away. It was very quiet apart from the chatter of guests at the outside bar tables in the evening, but that subsided by about 2300. The hotel is a restored and converted 16th-century palace and has great charm. The room and bathroom were large and comfortable and in excellent condition, and a kettle as well as a coffee maker were provided. The breakfast was delicious snd plentiful and the restaurant excellent, with lots of vegetarian options available for my partner, unusual in Spain. The staff were all very efficient and friendly. Thoroughly recommended.

“Caceres 7/10”

Nice hotel. But not everything was ok in spite of the price. Some issues in the room (used nuts not replaced, used sugar bag not removed). Rather small room. Room with a terrace, more expensive, but terrace was not clean and looked like a prison cell of 2 square meters. Airco limited on 21° Celsius
