Stayed here 2 nights- great hotel, near everything, market, university, cathedral and great bar nearby called Momos. Breakfast was in a cafe nearby and was great. Rooms fabulous and bathroom supplies lovely. Only complaint was the noise- I could hear everything in the room near me, insulation would be good. There is a beautiful garden out the back, great for chillaxing with a book or a drink.

I stayed 1 night at Xardin de Julia recently and wouldn't stay there again. I stayed in a room facing the street, quite busy at all hours with buses and cars. The rooms have no air conditioning and when I arrived to my room it was boiling hot (even though it was very pleasant outside) as the blinds were not down and a greenhouse effect. The only source of ventilation was the street facing window so during the entire stay it was a choice between being very hot or having tons of traffic noise from an open window. In the morning I took a shower and discovered that the shampoo/body wash bottle in the shower was completely empty, an unpleasant surprise when you are already wet and in the shower. Keep in mind that at most hours the hotel is unstaffed so it wasn't really clear the breakfast or check-out procedure. At check-in a quick little intro to the property and surrounding dining options would have been appreciated, but none was provided. In summary, there wasn't anything really terrible about the stay, but it was also obvious they weren't paying attention to details or really pushing themselves to offer a great guest experience.

This hotel was really lovely big rooms lovely bathrooms, nice garden to sit in and staff extremely helpful I stayed 2 nights but got very little sleep our room was at the front of the hotel to the street and you could hear every sound even with windows and shutters closed. There was a festival on when we were there so did not get quiet until about 4 am friends who were in the back were fine so if I was going again I would ask for a room at the back.
