I stayed here for a Real Madrid v Valencia match. It is close by to metro stations and restaurants and fast food options. The breakfast buffet was good. Typical buffet with some of the local foods such as Spanish torta and churros. The room was pretty spacious for European standards. It is a bit hidden on a side street near an apartment and some type of business offices. My flight got in early and they were able to check me in around 1200pm.

We chose this hotel because we needed a place relatively close to the Chamartin train station, and the places at the station within our price range got poor reviews. This place is two metro stops or a 12-euro taxi ride away. Our room had two twin beds. It wasn’t huge, but it wasn’t cramped either, and the bathroom was a decent size. There was a long counter that ran the width of the room, which served as a surface to hold luggage, a desk, and a table where we ate dinner (from a nearby supermarket). The buffet breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of items—several kinds of cheese and salami, fresh fruit, fresh-squeezed orange juice, eggs, bacon, sausage, yogurt, several cold cereals, and various breads and pastries. Definitely recommended if you want to stay in this area.

“Too basic, but enough if you cannot afford better”

Very, very basic. Nothing is that the "double" bed is two single beds that look like one of those camp beds, but they are single! Very, very basic. Nothing is that the "double" bed is two single beds that look like one of those camp beds, but they are single! So, you end up sleeping in a single bed, which sounds every time you turn around that wakes you up even yourself. But, as if that were not enough, the walls are a joke, but rather resonance chambers, that if you sneeze, the room on the side say "God Bless! ... The floors resonate, the footsteps in the hallway, there are no carpets, so it is impossible to sleep without noise. There is no iron, no ironing board. But worst of all is the shower! When you are bathing normally and with lukewarm water, suddenly becomes hot, and boiling, to the point that you can get badly burned, or you can fall down escaping from the boiling water! The daily shower is an unnecessary stress. I was in room 211, not sure if it happens in all the others, but just in case, never stay in that one! It's clean, and well, the room at least it has a safe. Not bad, and the location is good. If your budget doesn't allow for more, well, it's fine, but only for a couple of nights. There are plenty of restaurants and options nearby. The breakfast is not bad and has enough variety. The service is not bad either, even more so since they changed the brand. It won't be my first, nor my ... third choice, but well, if you have to come back on a limited budget, it's the place.

The room was big and very clean, in a hood state of decor. Wifi was good. Breakfast was standard. The reception staff were very good: freindly and helpful. They made a couple of enquiries on my behalf. However 1) On Saturday morning when I arrived there was only one rceptionist available and was overwhelmed. She was very professioanl, but the number of people checking in and checking out exceeded her capacity. I waited between 15 and 20 minutes to check in, 2) Although the hotel has a pool, this closes on mid September. I knew I would want a swim, as the daytime heat in Madrid in late Septemeber can still be in the high 20s. If a key facility like a pool is going to be closed at the time of a reservation, please be honest enough to say so.
