I arrived on Thursday evening and was checked in by Jimmy. Very friendly and welcoming. I booked this mini trip, 6 days, through BA and was only given the option to select an executive room. Whilst checking in I asked Jimmy if there were any suites available, unfortunately not at the time of checkin. However, 3 days within my stay the top suite would be. I jumped at it. So, review of the executive room - room 501. Very spacious, everything you need. Comfortable bed, although was a twin placed together. At 6’3” tall I like to spread out sideways in the bed, so found this slightly difficult. Bathroom was a very good size and the shower had great pressure. Lots of plug points which helped. This room had an orange colour scheme, and yes it was very orange. Over all, a very good room for the price point. Roof top bar - please note that this has a pool. However, is not available until 1st June. The bar opens at 5:30pm and is open to walk ins. Anyone staying at the hotel has priority and will be offered a table. It’s a busy bar and, although I was a solo customer, as I was staying at the hotel I was given a table within minutes. Very good selection of drinks, including cocktails. As with most things in Spain, there is a slight wait for drinks to arrive after ordering but this is not an issue as the view from the roof keeps your attention. Staff are very friendly. Breakfast - included in my package. Lots of choice. Pastries, bread, yogurts , gluten free options, hot options, coffe machines, fresh juices all self service. Again staff were very friendly and greeted me with a smile. Suite 702 - one word, Awsome! Large seating area, plenty to seat 8 people easily around a central coffee table. You have a mini bar (chargeable), a Lavazza coffee maker with pods ready for use. A work desk with lamp and plenty of sockets. A stand alone bath in the room, yes you heard right, with mirror wall behind and reflective mosaic flooring! This is Cheuca and celebrates the culture. A large king size bed with bedside table and plenty of lighting options. The bathroom is entered through a large door to the right of the bed and is separated into three areas. Toilets with bidet through a smoked glass door, a sink area with plenty of storage that hosted their products and a shower area. The shower was a full rainfall shower and was large in size. As an extra bonus, if you enjoy that kind of thing, there is a door that opens up to one of the balcony’s as you shower. There are “two” balconies, they are connected. The first has a table and three comfortable chairs overlooking the main square at the front. And the second at the side of the hotel, again table and chairs here too. The roof top bar is directly above you and on a few occasions as I was sitting outside awaiting my guests to arrive, a few customers from the bar over looked the glass wall to look down. Was it and issue? Not at all, I was soon joining them in the bar anyway. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel if you want a central location in the heart of the wonderful city.
