We hadn't book a room and arrived on spec as we had been visiting in the area and decided to spend the night away. Very friendly and helpful staff. They had one room left which was basic but comfortable. At 115 EURO we felt it was maybe a wee bit overpriced. It had a small balcony which looked onto a street and some trees. The bathroom was clean and functional. The best part of the hotel were the public areas which were many. Every floor had seating areas all displaying different art. There is a large outside swimming pool with a grassy area to sit on. There is also a cafe on the ground floor where we had coffee in the morning. The restaurant was amazing. The staff were very friendly and the portions of food were enormous. As a starter, I chose fish soup (which was delicious) and they left the tureen so you could help yourself to however much you wanted. My partner had a plate of ham which was piled high. This was part of a set menu for 20,91 EURO - three course, bread and a bottle of house wine. Very good value. Not the most attractive building from the outside but there was ample parking and definitely a good place to spend the night.

“Very good place to stay.”

I slept here for a night crossing the Pyrenees by mountain bike. I slept very well, the rooms are comfortable and quiets, the facilities are very good, you can eat inside the local restaurant and you can relax on the swimming pool. Thanks to the staff I was able to set my bike for the night

“An odd but not unpleasant experience”

I was in a group of four travelling through France and Spain by motorcycle. We were staying in a mixture of B&Bs Gites and Hotels and had selected this hotel as it was convenient at the end of a planned long day of riding. Arrived, parked and checked in OK. The location is a little remote and there is very little around other than the hotel itself. It was clean, the rooms were comfortable and we even had a little balcony. After check in, we went for a well earned beer. Only one of our group could speak basic spanish and as we'd just been in France for ten days, he was itching to go. Alas, the barmaid was Ukrainian and her spanish was limited to the local dialect which seemed to consist mainly of the letter x!! With some pointing etc, it all worked out fine and the few locals in the bar found it just as funny as us. Just goes to show that language barriers are what we make them! The grounds of the hotel were looking a little untidy but we were at the very back end of the summer season and there were few other guests. Restaurant was OK. Reasonably priced, but we got the feeling that they weren't really expecting too many guests. Sleep came easily. Breakfast was fine and the checkout was as easy as the checkin. No reason to avoid it if its on your route and convenient for a stopover. It felt a little like staying at a big UK seaside resort in the winter. All the signs indicated that the place had a vibrant beating heart. The games courts, the outdoor pool, the stacked sunloungers were all signs of a lively summer. In mid September however the vibrancy had gone and it felt a little odd.

“Adequate but nothing special”

Spacious and clean rooms, but lacking in charm--a rather corporate place that we chose out of desperation following a long day's drive.
