Great location. It’s a very clean hotel. We booked one of the suites and it had plenty of room. The ceilings are amazing. Great location. It’s a very clean hotel. We booked one of the suites and it had plenty of room. The ceilings are amazing. The beds are extremely comfortable and it’s quiet despite its central location. The only issues are the toilet is a glass door. You can only see out not in but the door doesn’t go from the ceiling to the floor. The swimming pool is very clean, but there are only three sun loungers for the whole hotel and two chairs. There is plenty of room so I’m not sure why they don’t put out more sun loungers. You have to pay €20 cash to rent a pool towel which is reimbursed on return of the towel so we just use the ones out of bedroom.

I have been coming here for several years now. In fact it is a part of my annual trip to Spain in January - I stay here on the way in and the way out of the country. It’s extremely elegant with plain brick walls, illuminated ceilings decorated with church ceiling designs, wood floors and various refinements. The TV rarely shows anything worthwhile and the channels are usually mostly dead. However one doesn’t mind that too much. The breakfast is a little lacklustre but this is Valencia - good food is available everywhere. Bathrooms are good. Lighting is usually good although bedside lights are on stems, and often unruly, and quite often non functional. The staff are also rather nice. What has dragged them down this time however is their surprising heartlessness. Even though they know me and my friend with whom I usually visit, the fact that I had to attend hospital urgently at the last moment and would thus be a day late inspired not a single drop of empathy. They resolutely refused to move the booking, saying that the lead time (which was over two weeks) was not enough, and that we would have to cancel it and lose the money. Which we duly did. And had to book a further night at full cost. This has soured the hotel for me and it is certainly a little short sighted as not only am I a regular guest, but I regularly recommend the place to others both personally and through the tourism connections I encounter as part of my work. It is exceedingly unlikely that I will do so again, given this situation aforementioned.

We stayed four nights. Lost 2 stars due to poor maintenance. Positives: 1. Location is excellent. 2-3 minutes walk to the Central Market. A small supermarket is next door. Bike rental shop, bakery, ice cream shop and several good restaurants are within 3 minutes walking distance. 2. Room cleanliness is very good. 3. Roof swimming pool 4. Friendly and helpful staff. Welcome and good bye cards were nice touches. 5. Good air conditioning in the room. Negatives: 1. Sewage smell was coming from the drain of the shower. They put very smelly bleach down the drain..so we slept with sewage smell first night, and bleach smell second night. The solution was to cover the drain with wet towels. No smell for the next two nights. 2. Rain shower head was broken. Most of the plastic nozzles were blocked. There was a hole in the centre of the shower head. We tried to unblock the nozzles ourselves. 3. The water pressure and temperature fluctuated wildly while having a non-rain shower. 4. Cooking smells and noise from nearby apartments prevented us from opening the balcony door during the day. 5. Black mold on the ceiling. Also there seems to be a leak from the shower to the bedroom, the area where the shower panel meets the floor board did not look good.
