A quiet, comfortable and friendly family-run hotel in a great location. The staff are all excellent and helpful, the rooms are comfortable, large and clean and the self-service breakfast offers a great selection from fruit, cereal, pancakes, bacon and eggs, etc. The WiFi is fast and free and there is complementary tea and coffee available in reception. We have been back to the hotel four times in the last 12 months and have never once been disappointed. The hotel is a two-minute walk from one of the main shopping streets and a minute walk to Vasaplatsen tram and bus stop, which serves many of the tram and bus routes. It only takes about 15 minutes to get to the Central Station. From the airport, you can take the Flygbuss to Kungsportsplatsen and either take a tram or bus to Vasaplatsen or walk for approximately ten minutes.

“Charming hotel with renovated rooms in old building”

This is an independent family-run hotel in an old building which gives it a lot of charm. The rooms have been renovated, but could use brighter lighting, including for the bedside lamps. Very central location. Little noticeable street noise. The wooden floors creak a bit in places. No air conditioning or fan and the windows can only be opened a couple of inches. Full enclosure on the shower stall but water still leaked under the door. No safe. The staff were great. The breakfast was compact but had many good options. You need to navigate stairs to get up to the lobby and to get down to the basement breakfast area. They have a couple of paid parking options two or four blocks away. Careful parking in front to unload or load. Right in front of the door you can't delay, but a car space away you can have 15 minutes (per the person about to write us a ticket). The signs in Swedish may provide better clarity.

This hotel has been recently renovated, but still holds the charm of being a small independent hotel, with a comfortable stay. There's no aircon (so I maybe wouldn't recommend it for the summer months, though our window did open), and there was extremely loud music with very drunk students shouting along to the music until 1am in the back courtyard on the Tuesday night, but it was quiet the rest of our stay. Breakfast provided everything needed, and it was a good location with loads of great restaurants and things to do on the doorstep, and being 15 min walk from the central station. There's no safe, nor a kettle in the room, but free tea and coffee is in reception around the clock, and the friendly staff also looked after our bags when we checked out.

Myself and fiancé have recently stayed at this hotel for our little city break to Gothenburg. The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect, literally no more than about 15-20 minute walk to wherever you want to be! The Center of the city is closer again, being only about 5-10. I don’t think I have ever stayed at a hotel in a better location. The staff were all very friendly and were happy to answer any questions/quires. The hotel has a very quirky and laid back feel which is perfect. The room itself was perfectly adequate, a little quiet on the small side but had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. It doesn’t have tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but there is a machine in reception and you can take drinks up…. (an excuse not to be lazy I guess) …… The only two negative points I have to mention are that the curtains in the room (602) did not close fully, there was a gap in the middle and this let light through early in the morning. Thankfully I come up with a genius idea of hanging my scarf in the middle! The other was we had a brief foul smell coming from the drain in the shower….. Rather than do the typical Brit thing of complaining immediately I gave it the benefit of the doubt and after blasting the shower hose and a bit of soap down it, the smell disappeared…… Breakfast was good, a little on the basic side but gave you a nice full tummy and there is a little bit of noise if you’re in a front facing room… (to be expected from a city centre hotel) Overall this is a lovely little hidden gem in the heart of Gothenburg and will definitely be returning when I am back in the city.
