Love this hotel! It caught my eye as soon as I began looking for somewhere to stay. It’s modern, quirky, spacious and the rooms are great. There’s two restaurants and a cafe on site, with plenty of room. Breakfast was great. Lots of selection and room to sit. A dedicated section for vegan and gluten free too. The cafe do some insane cakes, so make sure you try one (or two, or three…) during your stay. It’s right next to Liseberg theme park and a tram stop, as well as parking nearby. Easy to access other parts of the city too. There are a lot of children staying here (due to the theme park itself assume) and if you don’t have any, or like them(!), good luck….. Our booking with the hotel got us free entry into Liseberg after 6pm on the first day. 4 hours was just the right amount of time to have a walk around, do a few rides and have some food. The online check-in (and check-out) was perfect. Self check in on arriving allowed you to pick a room of your choice, based on floor and view. Was ideal. Check out was simple too. There are a few recommendations I have to make this hotel just perfect. 1) Free entry into Liseberg every evening would be perfect. We didn’t pay to go into Liseberg, but if we got free entry we would have easily spent money on rides, games and food. 2) Have a recommended queuing line near the slide entrance. Children were blocking the way for people with rooms on the second floor. Having a queuing system going around the landing would help. 3) Have a member of staff to regularly move shoes from the bottom of the stairs. The number of shoes there was crazy, and how someone didn’t have an accident I don’t know!

Would like to give it 4.5 / 5 Things we loved: - It’s a beautifully themed hotel. Decor feels fresh and top quality. It’s a unique find. -It’s fantastic for families what with the carousel, slide to reception and cinema room that’s open at weekends. Characters from park also visited. -Breakfast buffet is great. Lots of choice. -Dinner buffet was nice. Was good value for us as kids under 2 eat free -Location good. Easy to get to airport by public transport (15 mins bus then short walk). Can walk to world of Volvo and universeum in 5 minutes and of course it’s next door to Liseberg theme park - Cot for baby was new with cute bedding -Staff all very helpful with perfect English -Hotel smells lovely Things that we thought could be improved: -Basically no storage in room -Rooms have showers. Asked if there were baby baths too hire and they said no and suggested buying one in a local supermarket. Am really surprised this isn’t requested more often when so many guests are with young children. We tried to shower our 19 month old but it was very hard and he did slip and fall. -No place in room to sit and do make up with mirror -Could be helpful to tourists to have usb chargers. We had to keep switching round things with adaptors. We had two phones, hair appliances and a baby monitor we needed to use. Booked this to visit Liseberg for the Christmas markets and rides. The grotto was magical. Had a great time just think there was a few practical details in hotel missed that meant it wasn’t quite perfect stay but would recommend this hotel for families.

Our third stay and again it doesn’t disappoint, we have always really enjoyed it. It’s a great option for families — everything is very easy and well thought out. Being right inside Liseberg Park is a real highlight; it’s such a unique setting and feels special whether you visit in winter or summer. The atmosphere around the park is lovely and makes the hotel feel part of the experience rather than just somewhere to sleep. The location is also handy for getting into the centre of Gothenburg. The tram stop is just a few minutes away, so it’s straightforward to get around without needing a car. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well equipped, with good storage and plenty of space for families. Staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay — everyone we spoke to was polite and happy to help. Only a small bit of feedback: it would be nice to have an adjustable shower rather than just the handheld one, as it would make things a bit more practical. Otherwise, we couldn’t really fault anything. Overall, a very enjoyable stay in a fun and convenient location. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Gothenburg, especially with children.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of March. This hotel is unusual from the start, the decor in reception is really quirky but lovely. The receptionist was friendly and we were checked in quickly. The rest of the hotel along with the rooms match perfectly with reception. We had a room that slept 5 no problem but there was 3 of us so we only used one of the bunk beds. We had cakes and drinks at Cafe Agnes, and these were excellent and the staff really friendly, they are a credit to the hotel. We booked the buffet restaurant for three nights for our evening meal. The first night was great but it went downhill from there. The second night there wasn't much choice and they weren't bringing much out probably because it was quiet. The third night was diabolical the food was cold and alot of it burnt. There were no chefs about so my husband along with a Dutch Travel Agent sort out the only member of staff there and she was the person who checked you in. She went in the back to speak to the chefs who came out and started stirring the around, she told them no it's cold and burnt and she could see it was burnt. They eventually after some time replaced all the food and that was hot and not burnt. The Dutch Travel Agent was astounded that not one member of staff approached her when she was taking photos of the burnt food as that had never happened before (all the chefs were in the back and not visible), she was going to see the manager the next day. So if visiting out of season beware that this was chefs attitude. We also visited the rooftop bar, the Meri Rose which had great views over Gothenburg and a really friendly bar man, sorry didn't get his name. We breakfast choices were good and replenished regularly with staff monitoring the food probably because there was alot of business people for breakfast. Overall a really good visit only let down by the chefs in the Saluhallen Restaurant of evening.
