This family run hotel may not be the most central in Grindelwald, but for the lover of the alpine countryside this is an advantage. The atmosphere is very friendly and the quality of the hotel rooms and public areas one of the highest in the area. This hotel comes highly recommended for groups and individuals.
Though largely a modern building, the hotel is built in traditional chalet style with a wooden facade and colourful flower boxes. .The hotel is located at the top end of Grindelwald about 15 mins walk from the centre of the village and the railway station. Its location affords particularly spectacular views of the Eiger.
The restaurant is located on the ground floor and is in beautiful Swiss rustic style with carved wooden furniture and tasteful decoration.

“Just to be back soon”
Great location. Comfortable rooms with a lot of atmosphere. Very good shower room facilities. Very comfortable mattresses. Great breakfast. Nice staff.

“Excellent stay in Hotel Kirchbühl Grindelwald”
What a lovely hotel! We stayed only one night while walking the Via Alpina, arriving from Meiringen and unfortunately it started to rain as we approached Grindelwald. “Very small room”
Maybe we had bad luck but our room was very small. We weren’t able to open 2 normal sized suitcases at the same time as there was only one place to do this.
