I recently stayed at The Bristol in Bern during a business trip, and once again had an excellent experience. The location is fantastic and makes it easy to get around the city, but what really sets this hotel apart is the people. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a genuinely warm welcome that made me feel valued as a guest. The staff consistently strike the perfect balance between being professional, friendly and attentive. A special thank you to Manuel, who checked me in. He was welcoming, efficient and a pleasure to deal with after a day of travelling. One thing I've always appreciated about The Bristol is that the team go out of their way to help guests make the most of their time in Bern. During check-in I overheard staff providing recommendations on local restaurants and explaining how visitors can take advantage of the city's complimentary public transport scheme. It's this proactive, personal approach that makes such a difference. My room was clean, comfortable and very well maintained. I also liked the hotel's sustainability initiative, where guests who choose to skip housekeeping are offered a complimentary drink. It's a simple but thoughtful idea. Breakfast was another highlight. Having stayed in many European hotels for work, I've become accustomed to fairly basic continental offerings, so it was refreshing to find a very good hot breakfast available alongside the usual selection. The gym was also well equipped and had everything I needed to keep up my routine while away. What continues to impress me most about The Bristol is the consistency of the experience. The hotel has excellent facilities, but it's the warmth, professionalism and attention to detail from the team that make it stand out. I always look forward to staying here when I'm in Bern and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. Highly recommended.

“Disappointing stay”

Unfortunately, our experience wasn't all that great. First off, the AC wasn't working very much and so, it was 27-28 degrees in our room... unbearable at night. Service was okay, but nothing to write home about. Finally, breakfast options and overall quality were lacking.

“Good location simple hotel”

Good location, acceptable rooms, no one can help with anything, not luggage or other services, very few staff for such a large place. And parking is not close(public) it’s even hard to find a place to drop luggages
