It’s not a hotel. It’s an experience. The couple who manage the property are exceptionally kind. It’s impressive how everything is done with care — they are truly present and attentive. It makes all the difference. Incredible. Truly beyond words. My room — WOW. A private sauna, a bathtub, a walk-in closet. Everything was beautiful, fragrant, and spacious. Despite the bad weather, I loved skiing in Samnaun. On a sunny day, the border with Austria is spectacular. The return slope to the hotel is a blue run. The hotel is ski-in, and there’s a shuttle van to the gondola. If not, the bus literally stops right in front of the hotel. Perfect logistics. Dinner was excellent as well — small portions, light and well balanced. Breakfast does not offer a huge variety, but in my opinion it is thoughtfully selected, and the eggs are prepared fresh to order. I will definitely return one day. Greetings from Brazil.

We chose Hotel Laret very carefully, after comparing several options and defining exactly what we were looking for: a quiet adults-only hotel, excellent food, a strong focus on sustainability, quality sleep, spa privacy, easy access to skiing, and an intimate, authentic alpine atmosphere. Hotel Laret delivered on all of this, and more. The hosts were exceptional. Every evening, dinner was a highlight of our day. The food was delicious, creative, and pleasantly surprising, we honestly looked forward to dinner every single night. The dishes prepared by the team and by Christian were outstanding, combining refined flavors with local character. Cornelia was a perfect host: warm, attentive, and genuinely caring about our comfort and needs throughout our stay. We especially appreciated the hotel’s commitment to sustainability and the opportunity to enjoy local products: regional cheeses, meat specialties, local wine and beer, which added authenticity and depth to the experience. The adults-only concept made a huge difference for us. The atmosphere was calm, quiet, and deeply relaxing. This was further enhanced by the spa concept: being able to reserve the entire spa area just for the two of us allowed us to fully relax and enjoy the Finnish and the infrared saunas in complete privacy, at our own pace. Our panoramic room offered beautiful views over the valley while maintaining a cozy, intimate feeling. Sleep quality was absolutely perfect 10/10. Traveling by car gave us great flexibility. We were able to drive to the Engadin area and enjoy the beautiful Eisweg ice skating track surrounded by nature, truly unique experience. We also took the car train to Landquart, where we did some shopping at the outlet, great prices. Also, in Samnaun itself, the duty-free zone was another great bonus, offering relaxed shopping in a beautiful alpine setting. The area also offers wonderful opportunities for hiking, trekking, and walking between the villages of Samnaun. We would have loved to do more of this, but honestly, the skiing was so good that we ended up spending every day on the slopes. Ski access was very easy and efficient. We went to the lifts with Christian using the hotel van, reaching the cable car in just a few minutes. At the end of the ski day, we could ski almost all the way back to the hotel, finishing near a small cow farm, a moment we enjoyed, watching the calves calmly observing the skiers passing by. Then just a few minutes walk to the hotel through the village. Samnaun itself is wonderful: peaceful, picturesque, and relaxed. At the same time, heading up into the Ischgl area gives you access to lively après-ski, music, dancing, and party vibes. For us, this balance was perfect, the serenity of Hotel Laret and Samnaun combined with the option to enjoy the vibrant energy of Ischgl whenever we wanted. We stayed here in January, over New Year’s, and it was an unforgettable experience. We will definitely return, especially since skiing in both Samnaun and Ischgl is possible well into May. Hotel Laret truly felt like an oasis of calm, quality, and authenticity in the middle of an exceptional alpine region.

What a beautiful hotel! We stayed in one of the "alpine historic" rooms, which was a lovely combination of rustic/historic and modern comfort. Everything in the hotel is beautifully designed, with lots of individual touches chosen by the owner (e.g. special plates, cutlery, and decoration on the tables), and the room was absolutely spotless. Beds are very comfortable, and at night it's totally quiet. The hosts are extraordinary - they always take the time to chat with their guests and to accommodate individual wishes. They make you feel like a friend or family member, rather than simply a guest. All the other staff (waitress, cleaning staff) were always very friendly too. We stayed a whole week, and dinner was absolutely exceptional, every single day. It always starts with a different type of delicious home-baked bread, fresh from the oven, with a matching dip or special kind of butter, and it just keeps getting better and better. If there's something on the menu you don't like, just let them know and they will find an alternative option for you. We went skiing most days. The ski lifts are only a short drive away, and there's a regular shuttle service in the mornings that takes you directly to the lifts. In the afternoon you can ski back to the hotel (max 3 minutes walking after the end of the slope), this is possible even in December when there is not that much snow on the slopes. It may not be the cheapest hotel, but value for money is very fair. Highly recommended, would love to return!

I am a frequent traveler and have stayed at many hotels around the world - I can highly recommend the Laret and we will be returning there for future trips! The owners manage and work at the hotel which shows their personal commitment to excellence in all aspects of service. The food was wonderful each day with a combination of cooking styles using local ingredients. One feels at home from the very first day. The rooms are newly upgraded to reflect the local Swiss character and all comforts. The wine list is wonderful and we did not have a bottle we did not like. For us skiers, located near the Samnaun main lift with a ski slope back to the hotel at the end of the ski day. Beautiful hotel with great service!
