Fabulous 3 night stay in this delightful small hotel within easy walking distance to the train station. Booked a room with Jungfrau views at the front of hotel, and we were mesmerised by stunning views from the balcony. Our room was a generous size and immaculately maintained. Bathroom was excellent. Daily breakfast was delicious, plenty of help yourself options, all beautifully fresh and eggs cooked to order by the lovely ladies. Plenty of restaurant options within walking distance. The owner, Kim, was very helpful and lovely to chat to. Loved our stay!

This is a lovely typical Swiss hotel. Very easy to find just a few minutes walk from the train station. We checked in with ease and staff were welcoming and friendly. This is a lovely typical Swiss hotel. Very easy to find just a few minutes walk from the train station. We checked in with ease and staff were welcoming and friendly. We was provided with free wifi and hot drinks in the room. When we spotted a couple of small issues such as a light bulb needed changing, this was fixed quickly. The room has soap, shower gel and fresh towels. The whole hotel was clean and the rooms were comfortable and even had a quaint balcony where was sat before breakfast and of an evening with spectacular views. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast along with a lovely log fire. Kim was on hand with plenty of suggestions of places to visit. All in all we loved our stay here and could not find anything to complain about. Thanks for looking after us and we hope you will welcome us back.

“Overall Experience: Mixed:Not LGBTQ+ friendly hotel”

The hotel's location is great, offering convenient access to local attractions and amenities. The cleanliness of the rooms and facilities met our expectations, and the breakfast service was of good quality with a satisfactory range of options. The general facilities were adequate for our needs. I must address a serious concern that overshadowed our stay. Upon arrival, exhausted from our long journey, the hotel owner initiated a personal conversation which quickly became inappropriate. She began sharing her political views, specifically stating that her rights were being taken away in Australia due to trans people being allowed their own rights. We were shocked and deeply disappointed by this comment, particularly because: 1. The owner appeared to assume that, as a South Asian family, we would automatically agree with these views. This assumption was both presumptuous and unwelcome. 2. As a family, we unequivocally support trans rights. Pakistan, our country of origin, has legally recognised and protected trans rights since 2009 and in 2018 The Transgender Persons Act is one of the most progressive trans rights bill in the world. Additionally, the indigenous peoples of Australia, the country the owner claimed to be from, have long recognised and respected trans identities as part of their cultures. The premise that CIS rights are being “taken away by trans people” is historically and factually inaccurate. 3. This interaction made us feel unwelcome and raised serious concerns about whether LGBTQ+ guests (or allies of LGBTQ+ people) would be treated with respect and dignity at this establishment. We strongly encourage this hotel to be transparent about its values and policies. If the establishment is not LGBTQ+ friendly, this should be clearly advertised so that: 1. LGBTQ+ travellers and their allies know where they will and will not be welcomed 2. People can make informed decisions about where to spend their money 3. Businesses that genuinely support inclusivity and diversity can be appropriately patronised Transparency in this regard is not only a matter of ethics but also of respect for all guests and potential visitors. We hope the hotel owner will reflect on this feedback and consider the importance of creating a welcoming environment for all guests, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or their support for LGBTQ+ rights. Additional comments about the room as per other reviews the walls are so thin the floor shakes when someone in the room above is walking. The bathroom extractor fan is ridiculously loud. No safe in the room and told to leave room key in an open area in the reception where everyone in the hotel has access. No black out blinds. No mirror in the room except the bathroom cabinet mirror. Bathroom very small. Emergency exit light on at all times in front of the bed like an unwanted night light. No AC. Duvet too thick in summer.

We had booked a family room for 3 adults. The picture of the room at the time of booking was different from what we were offered. When I eventually reported it to the owner, she checked and by then Agoda was showing the same room that was offered to us. Being on the third floor, and no elevator or concierge, carrying up and down the luggage was an inconvenience. The hotel is kind of cute little property a bit off the Central Lucerne but with some nice restaurants close by. The room offered certainly did not appear to be close to 26 sq mts as mentioned on Agoda. Apart from the reservations mentioned, it was a fairly good experience.
