Despite a long and difficult journey, we were welcomed with such genuine warmth that everything else faded instantly. Service here is truly top-notch intuitive, attentive, and delivered with natural elegance. A special thank you to Nicole and Margaretha for the perfect first impression at reception. Roberto and Janis, both concierge, ensured throughout our stay that no wish remained unfulfilled always helpful, warm, and highly professional. Our beautifully renovated suite with panoramic lake view was simply breathtaking. Waking up to this view each morning is something words can hardly capture. The interior is refined, high-quality, and thoughtfully detailed designed for true comfort. The culinary experience is outstanding. With 2 Michelin stars and 19 GaultMillau points, the level is exceptionally high yet what you experience goes far beyond awards. Every dish feels like a journey for the senses. Whether enjoying the stylish Easter brunch, prepared with incredible attention to detail, or a quiet moment at the bar accompanied by soft piano music at sunset every moment feels special. A heartfelt thank you to Andrea (Marina Restaurant) for his remarkable precision and care, as well as to Rosa, Vanessa, and Anna in the Eden Roc restaurant, whose attentiveness and warmth made every meal a pleasure. Elisabeth and Giacomo (Food & Beverage) ensure a seamless level of excellence across all restaurants, fulfilling even special requests effortlessly. Marta, Front Desk Manager, combines professionalism with genuine kindness in a truly exceptional way. My deepest respect also goes to Markus Tauss leading a team at this level of excellence speaks for itself. It says everything that we decided to extend our stay already on the second day. The entire property is stunning: beautiful gardens, a private beach by the lake, multiple pools, and a stylish, immaculate wellness area with daily sauna infusions. The atmosphere remains calm and refined, despite being welcoming to families and dogs. The clientele is elegant, and the overall ambiance warm and distinguished. The location is ideal directly on the promenade, just a short walk, with countless possibilities to explore the surrounding area. I could go on, but ultimately this is something one must experience personally. For those who appreciate true quality, attention to detail, and heartfelt hospitality this is a place not to miss. My family and I were traveling through Switzerland in September and had an absolutely amazing stay in Ascona at Eden Roc! Markus Tauss and his team went above and beyond and made the visit truly memorable. The room was perfect! Homemade Lemonade and Ice Tea awaited us upon arrival, the view was superb, and the service was perfect! Every aspect from our stay was great, dirnks on the terrace, to breakfast in the Garden, what more could you ask for. And again, as mentioned above, the friendliness and desire to help was very present throughout the entire resort! thank you for the great service and fabulous stay!!

This is a gorgeous more modern resort hotel with service that is exactly what a luxury resort should be in a beautiful location. We enjoyed our stay immensely even though it rained during most of our time in Ascona. The promenade and shopping area of the small town of Ascona is lovely and an easy walk from the hotel. From the complimentary private pickup from the Locarno train station which we arranged in advance, to the drive to the ferry dock for our next stop, the service was flawless. The room was beautiful, with plenty of space to unpack and store things with all the modern conveniences. The bathroom was large with one of the best showers ever. The only tiny hiccup were the door locks which can be rather tricky until you get the knack, but we were told that they will be changing that this winter. They have numerous restaurant choices and we ate at three of the four choices. The Marina, was very good. The Cassetta, which we reserved had to close because it was outdoor dining and raining, and we were immediately informed by the staff and given other options. The two Michelin star La Brezza restaurant was very special, and a most enjoyable evening with magnificent food. The chef who came out to speak with us was delightful as was everyone we spoke with. One of our top two meals we have ever had and worth the high cost. Our least favorite was the Eden Roc restaurant, but that had a superb salad bar, and was where the excellent breakfast buffet was served in the morning. The bar area both indoors and outdoors was centrally located and a wonderful place to relax, often with a piano player and one who was a delightful vocalist. There were many sitting areas throughout the resort which also worked very well for us because of the weather. The indoor outdoor pool with jacuzzi area was great. This is a fine case of you get what you pay for, and although the cost is high, we had no complaints and enjoyed our time there. We recommend.
