The Hotel Olympica is a basic but nice hotel. It has all you need and super friendly staff. As I will be a frequent visitor that makes me very happy. If you are staying at the hotel on a regular basis or you need anything special you can def. talk to the staff and they will try to help. Parking is available just outside the hotel as well. Now as mentioned the hotel is basic but has all you need. The beds are really comfortable. AC and heating is available as well. Now there are 2 small things id like to mention: First i can hear EVERY word from the people next door as there is a door connecting the rooms. The door doesnt shut all the way (it is locked and you cant see through!) and leaves a tiny gap which makes it easy to hear everything. Now I dont mind at all as im a sound sleeper but its kind of weird listening to other peoples private conversations even if you dont want to. Second point is that the windows are not the best in the room im in. The wind is coming through and i can feel a very light breeze when sitting on the bed. Now I usually sleep with my windows open so it doesnt bother me much however if would be good to look into “fixing” these things. I booked without breakfast but did try it out once. it has the usual bread, some cheese, some meet and cerial. Basic but good breakfast. If you like to exercise this hotel is perfect! it has a big gym, badmington and tennis fields, bowling, beachvolley and a spa to realx. Also from what i can see very family friendly. The area around the hotel is industrial but easy access by car or bus from Brig or Visp. Also there is a pick up/ drop off service if needed. Just ask or call them when you need it. Again the staff is really helpful! Gas stations and a McDonald is in walking distance same as the Simplon Center which is a small shopping center with a few stores. For me its a great hotel and i can recommend staying here. Now if you do need luxury i suggest going to another place.

“Check the bill”

We noticed the bill higher than expected and after checking it was 300 CHF higher than what it should be. Another couple we meet had the same problem, they seem to be billing more than they should. We noticed the bill higher than expected and after checking it was 300 CHF higher than what it should be. Another couple we meet had the same problem, they seem to be billing more than they should. Other than that, this is a basic hotel, located in an industrial area. You need a car. Nothing specially bad (for a basic hotel), nothing specially good. There's a McDonalds, a Lidl and a gas station less than 10 min walking. Good gym, there are also a number of sport facilities (for an extra fee). Restaurant is quite expensive for a basic hotel. Hot water is not hot at times (depends on the time). Breakfast is basic but enough (again, it's a basic hotel so be realistic with your expectations) Reception couldn't answer questions about the sky resort Good heating

The hotel had a free pick-up-service, and we were driven from and to the train station by a smiling driver. The reception staff had a limited English vocabulary, so a mix of German and English worked best. The room was spacious, the safe and the air condition worked well. The rooms could need some upgrading, though: Broken chair, blinking lamp etc. A little fridge in the room would be practical. The breakfast buffet was good. Free wifi was a bit unstable. Our room had no balcony, others did. This hotel is good for active families. The fitness room was free for hotel guests. However, group trainings and dinner were expensive, but Switzerland is expensive in general. The bus stop is just 150 meters away, and the town centre is only a few kilometers away. There is a McDonald's and a Lidl grocery store nearby, but be aware that even the bigger grocery stores in Brig close early, like 18.30 or 19.30.
