“Best Mattertal stay if you don't want to stay directly in Zermatt”
Very very kind hosts and amazing views; also very practical stay out of Zermatt close to the railway station (no noises though!). Very good swiss Bircher Müsli for breakfast; and very helpful with coffee etc. in case you arrive early. Also - not affected by the recent floodings at all!

“Good stay”
The room was good. Size was fine with plenty of storage. The bed was comfortable and though the pillows were thin, I was able to scrunch them up to make them work. “Close to Train Station and Free Parking!”
Were planning to stay in Zermatt until we learned it is a no-auto town. Walliserhof was the closest place to stay where we could park the car and ride the train to see the Matterhorn. Hotel staff was welcoming and helpful; room was comfortable with plenty of room.

“Would have been fine if they hadn't tried to double charge me”
The hotel tried to charge me twice for staying because they made a mistake with my room number. Taking a shower was awkward because the shower was small and the shower head would move.
