I chose this hotel after looking at countless others based on price, location, condition, and amenities. After staying there for almost a week, here are my thoughts. (ps: I am being thorough because it's a review, but it's definitely somewhere I would consider returning to in the future). First, the hotel is decently kept. You can definitely see signs of wear and cleaning could have been better, but I'd not call it dirty by any means. The bathroom has a separate shower but the shower ledge is quite low, which means some water still escapes into the main part of the bathroom. One of the shower wall is glass looking into the bedroom, which could be super cool except it's pretty dirty so you can't see out clearly. Grouts and seals need cleaned or replaced, otherwise it looks grimey. Daily housekeeping is nice, though they mainly sweep the floor, make the bed, and replenish coffee packs and replace with clean cups and towels. They don't clean the bathroom counter even if it's not clean. Bed was nice, not too hard or soft. It's an actual queen, not a twin stacked bed. The gym is small and does not have water bottles in there or anything else other than two treadmills and one cycle as shown in the official photos. However, there's 24 hour access to hot and cold drinking water if you just bring your container to the lobby. Of my stay there, no one else used the gym when I was using it. The equipment were in great condition. The best amenities, however, are washer and dryer on site, FREE. I purchased detergent from the front desk and did a load of laundry on the third night. There were many people doing it though, so I couldn't start until after midnight and didn't finish until almost 3am. I used washing my machine #2 and dryer #1. My clothes didn't fully dry until about 100 minutes in. If you have a large load I'd go for 120 minutes. Overall, this was a great place to stay with good service and location. We opted out of breakfast so that we could sleep in, and we knew we'd not starve in that part of Tainan. Highly recommend it.

“Good stay”

✔️ Pros : Spacious room You can get (three) beds Near eateries and medical shops Decent breakfast spread Nice view ❌ Cons : Room has some dusty spots (but manageable) (One) pillow per bed ❗️Note : Lobby/dining at Level 8 Overall was a good stay as we had moved around different hotels in TW.

“Tainan hotel”

Nice clean hotel with big beds, soft pillows and warm blankets, quiet, only that the water pressure a bit low, otherwise, it is value for money. Nice clean hotel with big beds, soft pillows and warm blankets, quiet, only that the water pressure a bit low, otherwise, it is value for money. Famous calamari noodle Yeh Jia Calamari noodle is nearby at Guohua section 2 #142 where director Lee Ang eats is nearby. However, to get to Anping from here, you need to take a bus, as it is not within walking distance. Tainan is low density, and houses are spread out, so the map deceptively misled me into thinking i could walk to Anping.

1) Great Location surrounded by shops and foods. 5-10 mins walking distance to night market and some attractions. 2) Hotel lobby at Level 8. You will need a keycard to access guest floor. Security wise still ok. 3) Stains on furniture but still acceptable for me. Toilet & shower heater ok, bedroom ok, bed & pillow ok. 4) Breakfast so so only. Not much chose and it cold. Closed at 10 am but there are fewer choices at 9am. So far, no complain to stay here.
