Actually, it's been a while since my last stay . . so it may not reflect the current condition of the hotel . . I just feel like writing a review for my past experience. Great luxurious room . . . very good staff . . great bathroom . . . I just wish that the price could be a little lower and the breakfast could have more varietion and choice of food.

“Overwhelmed by breakfast!”

This is a very nice place to stay in a big city like Kaosiung! The standard and service of this hotel is really worth the price! Most astonishing thing for me is the very smart toilet from TOTO and the extravagant breakfast in the morning.

Besides the well-known wharf city in Taiwan, Kaohsiung is also the home of performing arts in Taiwan. It houses the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts or aka Weiwuying. I was here for CATS – my first broadway post covid. There’s plenty of hotels in the city, however, H2O seems to be my choice for its “boutique” style from the photos – I was not wrong. From vibrant entrance to colorful well décor rooms. I had the park view room with the view of the city and small park. My room were turn down during check-in as I only come back to hotel after my broadway show. There was a miscommunication when I come back for the room though when they said they couldn’t find “my file”. I shall reserve my frustration that night which I shouldn’t show, but I think a busy hotel as such should have better organization of files as well. The room were beautiful decorated – my kind of style. The bathtub was rather small though, although it looks big from the photos – I am 5’7ft tall and it doesn’t fit me well. The showers do require some maintenance especially to floors and wall – if you see the photo attach. I like the amenities boxes which resembles an art. Overall stay was average – can be better. I didn’t have the chance to try the aquarium pool at the rooftop – it was beautiful during the day. I did have some drinks at their rooftop bar, but we can only remember feeding mosquitoes through out the night and just wanted to leave in a rush finishing our drinks. If you do plan to stay here, I recommend reserving their complimentary MPV transfers from the high-speed rail. They use vellfire which consider luxury and you can save your uber/taxi fare going to the hotel. I end the stay with a decent check-out with complimentary tea gift cans from the hotel :)

“A pseudo 5-star hotel”

Hotel interior looks great but inside is a three star the most. Old and stuffy room. bathroom sink too low and shallow, water splash everywhere. Bed is too soft and cheap mattress. Carpet is old and worn out. Window curtains is smelly. Lobby is next to the dinning area with loud music at night, extremely noisy. This is a three star hotel trying to be a 5 star.
