The staff are friendly and helpful. The room is comfortable, neat and tidy. The breakfast buffet is delicious with wide range of choices. The public area is clean. The cafe is refreshing and the coffee is good.

I had a satisfactory stay in Just Sleep Hotel (Kaohsiung Station) for a night before transiting to Taitung. The hotel is located between Kaohsiung Main Station and Formosa Boulevard station. Since the former is currently undergoing reconstruction, it would be easier to walk to and from the Formosa Boulevard station unless you are taking the train. We stayed in a family room. The room looked exactly like it was shown on its website. The room was, in general, clean and spacious. What I particularly liked about its design is that the toilet cubicle (equipped with a washlet) was separate from the bathroom (with both a shower and a bathtub) and the wash basin. By that, it means other roommates could use the other two even when one occupies any of the three. My only suggestion would be to provide more chairs in the room because two chairs would not be enough for a family to eat (say, takeaways or fruit) together in the room without one or two standing or sitting on the bed. As for sleeping quality, it's hard to be 100% soundproof since the hotel is next to a main road. And yes, if your room faced the main road and you are a light sleeper, you might hear the traffic at night. The lighting in the corridor was kept to almost a minimum. Elderly people might find it difficult to locate their rooms. It would be a lot better if it could be replaced with indoor motion sensor lights for safety, illumination and the environment. Breakfast is served at its 2/F restaurant, which is one of the best vegetarian restaurants in the city. So, it's no surprise that there are both vegetarian and vegan options at the buffet breakfast. Yet, perhaps due to the many indoor plants in the hotel lobby and the restaurant, there were always mosquitoes flying here and there. Talking about food, there are plenty of restaurants around, and it's around a 5- to 10-minute walk to the Liuhe Tourist Night Market. Most staff members are efficient and responsive. Both check-in and check-out were fast. Oh right, its self-service washing machines are out of service in response to the water rationing policy of the government.

The arrival experience is good as the main lobby is nice and comfortable. The general condition and cleanness of the hotel bedroom is up to standard. However, the bathroom’s design and arrangement is not user friendly as the wash basin split from the toilet and shower tray is just next to the main access of the room. Water seepage to the main access appeared after having shower. The overall living experience is good . However, I encountered jumping noise from the floor above occasionally. One thing is unacceptable for me that there was a temporary plate covering up the access opening of the bathtub in room 502 which is below average standard of a hotel.
