The location was great, just a stones throw away from the bustling night market and main street with lots of shopping and restaurants. The staff was great, asked what we would like for breakfast and brought it to our room! The bed was one of the most comfortable we had in all our travels through Taiwan. Would highly recommend staying here. We had a great stay!

“No frills hostel. ”

First look it's old and in a little dark alley. We wouldn't book this kind of hostel if not for the driver's recommendation. Walk out right to the night market. Convenient. First look it's old and in a little dark alley. We wouldn't book this kind of hostel if not for the driver's recommendation. Walk out right to the night market. Convenient. The main entrance closes at 9 or 10pm and you will need to enter and exit through a so called side door. The lift is old. But serves its purpose. You definitely don't have to bring your luggage up the stairs. There's a hot water flask used to store hot water. Not an electric kettle that we see usually. Water is taken from the corridor from a dispenser. They don't provide bottled water. Basics like tooth brush and toothpaste are provided. Shampoo and shower gel are in sachets. We left the hostel at about 8pm for dinner at the night market down the street and bumped into the whole family (who owned the hostel) having dinner right at the reception area. Quite cool. In my whole 10day trip in Taiwan, thus is the only accommodation which provided a bathtub and a stool for me to bathe my little 10month old baby old school style. I love it! Feeling like home.

“Awesome!”

Everything was great! Friendly and helpful owners, always greeting us whenever we're back; good and strategic location (middle of Kenting Main Street), clean rooms, elevator available, everything is provided. Will definitely stay here again if I would to go back to Kenting.

Meifon Hostel is an easy place to find as you can see the signs from the main road. We took the Kenting Express Bus from Zuoying HSR station and reach the place around 2 hours 10mins. We reach the hostel much earlier then the check in timing but the owners were very friendly and help us to get ready once we arrived as they were expecting us. They took our breakfast order and they have in room service where they will send food up to your room at the selected time. The rooms are clean and decoration is old but cosy which makes it a good place for rest. One thing I like about the hostel is the close proximity to the main street which is just seconds away. It is easy accessible to the Kenting Night Market (starts around 5.30pm) and after that we can just head back after walking around. Recommended for location.
