My wife and I stayed at this hotel in suburban Taichung. It is a smallish boutique hotel that overlooks a local park/playground. We really enjoyed our stay here. It is on a quiet street, out-of-the-way and easily accessible. The staff are very friendly. The hotel itself does not have that many amenities but there is a common room on the ground floor with confectionery and coffee, as well as toys that kids can play with. It has a very family-oriented feel about it. The rooms are fairly sparsely appointed, but are comfortable enough. The hotel is within walking distance of one of the local night markets as well as two large department stores, but it is probably a 10-minute walk to public transport routes, so using a taxi is probably a necessity. Taichung HSR station is about 15-20 minutes by taxi. You can order a complimentary breakfast, which is a western-style bagel. Otherwise there are limited dining options in the immediate surrounding area so you'll need to go to the market or to the large department store foodcourts. Overall this is a quirky, charming and fun little hotel.

We took a cab from Taichung HSR to the hotel and it cost us NTD300. Hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood, just beside a little park with a playground. Check in was fast. Breakfast are deliver to your room, 2 choice of burgers, fish or pork, 2 drinks options, tea or soya milk. 2 time slot, 0800 to 0830 or 0900 to 0930. All set come with very tasty fries. Snack bar available beside the front counter and also water dispenser provided. Staff were very helpful, they arranged for our breakfast to be collected at the front counter as we need to leave early before 0800 the following day. They packed them in a nice paper bag so that we were able eat them along the way. Upon entering the room, we immediately felt very peaceful and welcoming. They were artistically decorated. The toiletry provided for us to bring home were of good quality. We also loved the scent of the shampoo and shower gel provided in the toilet. Aircon worked wonderfully and came with many different functions. The only con is that it will take you around 20 mins to walk to the heart of Fengjia Night Market, but the pro is that you away from the hustle and bustle. We also walked to Top City and Carrerfour, both took us nearly 20 mins but quite a nice walk along the stream. Check out was fast and we got the staff to book a cab for us to go back to HSR station, it came in 3 mins and price was the same. Do note that there will not be any staff at the front counter past 2300hrs, if you need to check in late please arrange in advance. Do book this hotel if you want to be away from the crowd but still not too far from all the actions.

Front of the hotel is facing a mini park, while a temple located on its left, and residential housing on its remaining sides. Not the best combination, but the clever and stylist design makes up for it. It’s about 15 mins walk along busy roads - no pedestrian walkway, so if you are traveling with young kids or older folks, take a cab or Uber. Bed was ok, too soft to our liking though. We took the bigger room, with a bathtub. However, not much window view as residential houses are about 10m away... we had to keep our blinds down all the down. TV channels are mainly local, no HBO nor FOX Movies. Free instant noodles and other snack available at the hotel lobby snack bar, along with free coffee from coffee machine. Nice comfortable lobby lounge to enjoy all these freebies. Overall a good choice to consider if you plan to spend a day or two in Taichung. Self drive would be perfect due to its not so ideal location, but we did ok with Uber.
