Very good hotel strategically located between the CBD (city hall, National Taichung Theater, Maple Valley Garden, department stores...) and the Fengjia shopping area & night market. Easily accessible via freeways or public transport. Pretty lobby, polite and service-minded staff. Modern, spacious and comfortable room with sober design and good city view. Top floor gym and spa for excercising, relaxing and soaking in the city 's skyline. Very good buffet breakfast served at bright 2nd floor cafe. Definitely one of the top choices for a good stay in Taichung.

“Good value, clean”

A good value, clean hotel. At the intersection of Henan and Qinghai roads, but very little road noise in the room. Comfortable bed, small but adequate shower with plenty of hot water. A good value, clean hotel. At the intersection of Henan and Qinghai roads, but very little road noise in the room. Comfortable bed, small but adequate shower with plenty of hot water. Optional breakfast has Chinese dishes plus eggs, ham, sausage. Breakfast room machine coffee pretty good. Lots of local eateries in Fung Jia market direction. Stayed 3 nights.

“Well located Hotel with spacious rooms!”

Upon landing at the Taoyuan International Airport in Taipei, we took a 4.45pm bus to Taichung, journey time, about 2 hours. Once we alight at the Chaoma Bus station, we stroll for about 10-12 mins in the dark to find this Hotel, luckily, I planned ahead using maps and it was a rather easy walk. O… more

Upon landing at the Taoyuan International Airport in Taipei, we took a 4.45pm bus to Taichung, journey time, about 2 hours. Once we alight at the Chaoma Bus station, we stroll for about 10-12 mins in the dark to find this Hotel, luckily, I planned ahead using maps and it was a rather easy walk. Our assigned Twin room was a good size at 23 sqm, but it was facing the main road, hence, a little noisy for light sleepers like me. Beds were not as soft as I would have liked but certainly not hard. But pillows offered was way too soft for any good neck support - common at most Hotels. But there were tons of storage in the room with a good sized bathroom room. TV, however, was a tad small. There was a safe, kettle, slippers & toiletries in the room. Breakfast the next day was a rather good and reasonable spread. All staff we encountered were friendly & helpful. After a 2 nights stay in the noisier Twin room, we saw that a larger Triple room was available, facing the back of the Hotel, and so we asked to be upgraded and was granted a 3 nights stay in the larger room - many thanks indeed. The Triple room was much quieter as it was facing a Primary school running track (school holidays when we visited). And we were spoil for space in that newer room, this time, with a two seater sofa, too! The location of this Hotel is simply superb - right opposite, you would find a P Mart supermarket, diagonally opposite a Carrefour hypermarket and through the back door of the Hotel, the famed Fengjia Night market (a little touristy and over hyped, though). On the top floor of the Hotel is a small Gym (mostly bicycles, no thread mills here!), soaking tub & sauna room. There was also two Coin operated washing machines here, at NT$300 a wash. Overall, we did enjoy our 5 nights at this good value hotel in Taichung. Upon departure, simply stroll 1 min to the opposite Poya Cosmetics/McDonald's for a 160 bus to the Taichung High Speed rail station, a 35-40 mins ride away. Highly recommended that you stay here while in Taichung.
