“Modern hotel with luminous room”

Room with sufficient sunlight and spacious. In a neighborhood a bit far away from the very centre of the city. But nice to be a bit quieter and still close to supermarket, convenience store, metro station and small restaurants. There is a shopping mall linked with the hotel too.

Stayed 7 nights. Quiet surroundings with great views as the guest rooms are located from level 17. Check in was completed fairly quick and I was asked whether I wanted a pair of slippers. Check out was also a non event. There is a free shuttle bus from the hotel to various places (see photo). There is also a link bridge at level 3 linking the hotel directly to the citylink mall and the songshan MRT/Local train. The laundry and fitness room were at level 18. I have ordered room service and the food was very good but it was delivered in a brown paper bag as if it was from Uber Eats. Mattress and pillows were of reasonable quality. But refer to my photo on the sofa at level 17 lobby. Hope Amba Songshan gets it changed soon. I love the bluetooth speaker in the room which allowed me to stream my music. As the hotel is located at level 17, you will need to change leave at level 17 to access your room. Water pressure and temperature were very good. Breakfast was served at level 17 with standard food and they do offer varieties throughout my 7 days there. The breakfast was located at level 17 and was very spacious. The switches in the room were nice and unique (see photo). My toiletries bag was moved from one spot to another in the vanity area on the 2nd day. It was left untouched on my first day. I was upset that my personal belongings were touched and changed spot. I believe different housekeeping staff were assigned on both days and have inconsistent practices.In conclusion, amber songshan hotel is a value for money and comfortable place of accommodation to consider.

You have to be aware that the hotel starts on the 17th floor so depending on your room assignment, you could have nice views of Taipei 101, the nearby mountain range . The room was comfortable, beds and pillows were to my expectation. The room numbers had interesting designs , brings me back memories of the 70s and 80s. The bathroom and shower areas were separate and there was a movable blinds that separated the area from the bedroom. Quite interesting. Breakfast buffet was the normal fare of Asian and Western food . Get a table by the window to enjoy the view. My only complaint was that on the last night, maybe due to the cold weather and rain, water seeped into portions of the inner ledge of the room window. I had put some clothes there and some got wet. Walking distance to Raohe Night Market. There is also a connecting bridge way to the Citylink Mall, quite convenient, There really isn’t much to do in terms of shopping but on the last morning, we chanced upon an area which was selling various items like clothes, shoes, bags etc..

Hotel is located opposite Song Shan station. There are approximately a dozen parking spaces on 4F which are free first come first served. Hotel is located opposite Song Shan station. There are approximately a dozen parking spaces on 4F which are free first come first served. Be careful with the ramp though - it's very dark and you might run head on to oncoming traffic. We stayed in a Medium King room with 101 view. Too bad there's a new building partially blocking the 101 view. There's no need to pay extra for the 101 view imo. There's no washroom door. Which means non-couples would find it quite embarrassing to have to walk out naked after shower to get dressed. The hotel layout is many many rooms along long long corridor. There were some inconsiderate noisy people who let their kids run wild in the corridor or talk loudly across rooms. Both nights we were woken up by noises in the corridor. The ventilation in the gym was quite bad - there's a bad "rubber" smell which kept us away although we have a daily fitness routine. I loved the traditional Taiwanese style breakfast - braised pork rice bowl, breakfast rice rolls. However the juice was low quality. At the price point of USD170 per weeknight, it was not the best stay.
