Stayed for the lunar new year week and had a great time. Perfectly placed at the M3 train exit at Taipei main station, there is a 711 and family mart on either side of the hotel. Staff is fluent in English and will hold your luggage if room isn't ready. Room is clean and spacious. Bathroom has a excellent toilet and rainfall shower head with high end soaps and lotion. Only tragedy was the pillows but if you mash 2 together it works out. Chiang kai shek memorial, peace park and the national taiwan museum are 4 blocks away and the train gets you around fairly easy. A great experience all around and I hope to visit again soon!

Hotel Cosmos is a solid choice if convenience is your top priority when visiting Taipei. The location is excellent, right next to Taipei Main Station, allowing you to take the Airport MRT directly from the airport to the hotel. A useful tip for travelers: use Exit M3, which has an escalator and makes handling luggage much easier. The hotel itself is somewhat dated, and the rooms could benefit from modernization. However, the outstanding location and transport connectivity help make up for this shortcoming. The staff were friendly and professional throughout our stay. We had requested an early check-in by a couple of hours, but unfortunately this could not be accommodated. We had also requested a higher-floor room with a view. While the hotel did provide a room on a higher floor, the windows were blocked by external billboards, making the room feel a bit enclosed and limiting the view. Overall, if you're looking for a well-connected hotel for a short stay in Taipei, Hotel Cosmos is a very good option. The property may show its age, but the convenience of the location makes it easy to recommend.

Comfy but a bit dated. Best tip for me is when leaving for Taoyuan AirPort Express instead of entering the cavernous train station. M3 you can walk street level to the A1 train station entrance. Took me about 10 mins and less likely to get lost or confused if you're like me. From hotel exit turn right Go past the M3 station entrance and cross the street On your right will see the big building Taipei Main Station so keep on walking till you see the K12 station then cross the street Turn right at the end of this block and keep walking and you will see the purple Tauyoun Airpot MRT A1 sign so walk in that direction You will see an entrance on the right so turn right. Take the escalators and at the bottom turn right and you will see the turnstiles to tap your card and you're there! This way was less stressful and less likely to get lost. But if you want to do some souvenir shopping then. You'll have to use the M3 exit. HOpe this helps. I will send some pictures You can take the reverse instructions when you walk to the hotel

The hotel has seen better days as anyone can see in the building architecture. The decor is standard Asian gaudy with lots of red and gold color in the common areas. The hotel is located adjacent to Taipei Main Station; however, the train platform is located at the other end of the station. It's about three blocks away. There are lots of restaurants in the station. Most seems to close at 9:00. "Seems" because foot traffic dies down a lot after 9:00 and I felt guilty walking in and being the last person to be served. My room was clean and comfy. I wouldn't call it large but it does its job. I had no complaints about the room. It was quiet and the bed was just right for me. However, there is a funky tablet that doubles as a clock/radio/information source. I couldn't figure out how to use it, but I had plenty of plugs for my own entertainment. I only had the buffet breakfast that was part of the room. The food was standard Asian/Asian-style Western foods. I really appreciated the assortment of vegetables. It's always difficult to have a balanced diet while traveling. Otherwise, the food was edible. Not great. Not bad too.
