“Average hotel, good for a short stay. Great location.”

We stayed here for two nights while visiting family and friends in Taipei. The best thing about the hotel is the location. It is across the street from the MRT station and a 5-10 minute walk to the high speed rail. It was also pretty quiet at night. The hotel felt a bit dated however, and rooms were small and felt moist. We did not spend much time in the hotel room so it did not bother us. The buffet breakfast was generous, although food was not great. You can find much better food for cheap prices in Taipei. We also found that there were some strange guests at the hotel, including a very drunk man who kindly vomited all over the floor leading to the only elevator in the hotel.

(1) Room air condition is horrible, stored 18 deg., but it always stayed at 23-24 deg. Feed back to Housekeeping, they did not do anything, but told me they had checked and said to me that I did not turn on the air cond., as if making me such a fool on such a simple thing. Why would I be able to select high or low fan speed and the 'snow flake' mode if it was on!!! (2) This is probably a hooker's hotel joint. Check-in time is too late - 6pm. They capitalise on letting the room for only 3 hours in the afternoon for those desperate for a screw, hence condom is provided in the room! Made me YARK! (3) Buffet breakfast served is of poor quality Chinese food & yarky frankfurters & ham. A cup of tea and slices of orange (the only fruit available) might be just what is suitable for you. (4) The only good thing about this hotel is that it is close to MRT.

“Good Value and convenient”

This hotel is only 2 min walk from the MRT station, which is very convenient if you are traveling with large luggages. This hotel is only 2 min walk from the MRT station, which is very convenient if you are traveling with large luggages. The breakfast kind sucks and i suggest you go downstairs next door to try the local breakfast shop particularly the taiwanese sandwich, burgers, egg tortillas...etc. One thing i felt pretty bad was the check-in time (6PM if you book via hotels.com), International travelers that just got out of the plane would be pretty upset if you didn't know this before coming here.

“great location”

Quite good value. Staff are lovely. Great location. Breakfast was OK. At least had decent coffee. Room was clean. Room next door was obviously a rent by the hour room but that was not really a problem. When we checked in after 3pm were told that our room wouldn't be ready for another hour!

I've stayed here a couple of times, for several weeks at a time. I think it's ok value, but there are other hotels I have stayed since which I feel offer more for your money. It's close to the mrt, which is just 2 minutes walk. So it's only about 20 mins into the centre. However, there are issues with this hotel, on several occasions I could smell cigarette smoke in my room, because I think customers and staff are allowed to smoke in the stairwell, despite several complaints it didn't stop. The other thing is the very poor breakfast, which, apart from food coffee, doesn't really cater for western tastes (we are talking pickles, congee, boiled veges and the odd piece of bread, if you are lucky). The other thing I don't like is that they appear to rent out some of the rooms by the hour (yes, you can guess what type of people and activities that encourages). But, ok if you want cheap and cheerful.
